Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

They make my bed, vacuum, feed my birds, do cooking, gardening, and laundry.
I like my caregivers. They are two different people. They are both outstanding. One is more of a cleaner and the other is more of a shopper.

He is not too receptive of the services sometimes. He has dementia and sometimes it is not so easy for us. I'm glad she is coming because she does take care of the pill and ordering.
I don't have much contact with them, my husband gets the services. They handle the pills for him. The caregiver comes in and takes care of what we need.

Our current caregiver who has been with us for over 3 years is the absolute best. She is compassionate, caring, highly trained and educated about all aspects of caregiving. She is able to communicate with my Mom in a way that she can comprehend and feel comfortable. I feel completely satisfied in knowing that my Mom is well cared for so that I am able to get the work and errands I need to do completed. I am so happy that my Mom's caregiver can provide the level of expertise needed to provide a comfortable, loving and safe atmosphere. This wouldn't have happened without Right at Home listening to what I needed and sending the right person to meet my Mom's needs.

I can't think of anything that would make my life easier. They could have a greater impact if they came twice a week but I'm happy to have the time that I have.
You always talk to a person. They call you if there will be a change in schedule and they try to accommodate you.

My caregiver stays on top of everything to take care of me. She is very understanding and professional in her care.
I would recommend them, but I do have a problem that some of them don't understand English. Trying to explain things to them is nearly impossible.

On the days that they are here, it gives me a chance to go shopping and do the things I need to do.
I like the people they send out to help. The caregivers are genuinely concerned about the people they help. They understand my concerns such as being immunized and wearing a mask. They're receptive to those concerns.

I felt maybe it was a little pricey since I was sleeping most of the time. My daughters encouraged me to have someone here for two days after I got home just in case.
I didn't have that much contact with them. I was sleeping a lot and one was there over night. It was good.

They can teach them to think outside the box.
Some caregivers were good. Others were not. I had the feeling that they needed more training. I wish they were more proactive. Once in awhile there would be someone who would make an effort to have more of a connection.

I was more tired when the caregivers left than when they got there. It was a lot of work for me. It was horrible.
I would never recommended them. They need to screen their people more and give them more training.

It was very helpful. I was pretty much the only caregiver from the first of April until about six weeks ago. I had no break, but with Right at Home I was able to take a nap.
The young lady that provided the care really came across as extremely caring. She had a real nice attitude.

The caregivers take responsibility and keep an eye on what's going on.
I would definitely recommend them. I have really enjoyed all of the caregivers but one. They are friendly and have the energy and willingness to see and do. They don't have to be told what to do.

They should make sure that the younger people are more dedicated for the job. They shouldn't skip steps so that their clients don't have to tell them what to do every day, especially if they are in ill health and have communication problems.

In a way, it's almost more of an impact on me because I'm the one who's the primary care for her, and I was doing it myself before we got Right at Home. I can trust them. It allows me to work my job, which allows us to keep our lifestyle so I can keep her in the home.
They really care about my mom. They're hardworking, and they're reliable.

I thought the care was really good. They would assist my dad with dressing in the morning and the evening. We mostly had them for transfer safety issues.
If my dad had a request, Right at Home did whatever they could do to accommodate them. For example, if my dad wanted a male caregiver, they did their best.

The caregivers themselves were very nice. They were consistent.
They got very confused about the billing and the hours. We had to step in to correct that, which is not what you want an elderly person to go through.

They removed some of the responsibility for having to schedule appointments. Since I don't live in Medford, it allowed my parents to have the quality of care they had before they were disabled.

They start out ok, but then they lose interest in long term clients and often no show for scheduled shifts without remorse or any sincere attempt to get it covered. Every week I get a call for at least 1 shift, sometimes more, that they just send no one for the shift. I have to rearrange my whole schedule to care for my mother much too frequently for how much we pay them per month. They have sent some great caregivers, but they also send some that clearly are not trained nor have any basic common sense with Alzheimer's care. It's been extremely rough all around with Right at Home and we are currently looking for a better option. I would highly recommend researching other options.

I am so impressed and happy with Gary, he is so good with Vito. I never tell Vito that Gary is coming because the first time I told him Gary was coming, he said he wasn't going and in fact he was going to tell him to leave but he didn't, he forgot when he arrived. Thank you.

There is not enough space to tell you about Jamie. Maybe love and caring. If 1/4 of your employees were 1/2 as good as Jamie is, you would have the market cornered. We have never in the past two years have a caretaker that has been 1/4 of her caring.

I told Jackie I felt Deirdre was a very fine caretaker. She has been a big help to me and a morale booster as well. She's good at foreseeing things out, seeing what needs to be done and carrying through requested tasks. I think she'd be great at sharing her ideas with new employees as well as anyone else interested in continuing work with your organization.
