Visiting Angels is a trusted national provider of professional in-homecare services. Our goal is to help loved ones to remain safe and independent in their own home. With over 400 offices across the US and Canada, Visiting Angels has been caring for and assisting families for over 20+ years. In addition, we work closely with other organizations such as hospitals/clinics, home health agencies, and hospice in order to ensure complete and appropriate care for our care recipients.
A unique aspect of Visiting Angels is that our clients get to meet and select their caregiver before starting, to ensure good personal compatibility. We don't simply send out a caregiver and hope for the best; we take the time to introduce them to the family and make sure everyone feels good and comfortable with each other before we begin our services. All of our caregivers are meticulously interviewed and selected, background checked, drug screened and trained. We are licensed, bond and insured.

The caregivers have helped the client the most with dressing her, making food for her, and helping with whatever she needs. They do her hair for her too.
I like that it's simple to work with them. The keeper is on time. They bill me and I pay them. Our insurance company pays me back, so it's pretty easy.

It has made my life a lot easier. I have recovered quite a bit form the illness I had. As I went through the recovery process, it was very helpful to have someone with me and help me with things that were challenging for me. My caregiver has also happened to be very good company for me.
I like that it's very personalized. I think the people that have been in my home and my current caregiver are well trained, they have good character, they're trustworthy, and they like what they doing. It's very comforting to know I can have someone come into my home, trust them, have them respect my property, and help me.

I would like to see them improve their cancellation policy . It used to be a 24 hour policy, now it is a week.

When my dad was in his final illness, he wanted to stay at home. We needed help because my sisters and I live too far away. It allowed him to remain in his home until his final hospitalization, and that is priceless.
I do not hesitate to give them my strongest recommendation! I really appreciate the personal service, and the individual attention. It could not have been better. The value of the service was worth every dollar.

They made me life easier. If I knew someone was sick they would find someone to replace them. It made my stress level a lot more manageable.
The staff was nice and they got back to me right away. They were very accommodating. When I was upset they would calm me down. They were very helpful.

The only thing that I thought was a little weird was that when we first got our caregiver we needed her to take him to appointments, but her car was not working. They should make sure they all have transportation.

If there is a need that is hard for me to do, I can trust that it is going to be taken care of. They are not going to tell me something that they are not going to do. They will try to solve problems, like time issues. They go out of their way to be helpful.

I think that they are nice. Every person I have met with from the company has been nice. They are very adaptable to change. Some members in the office actually pitched in to help my mom when the caregiver was sick.

I think they need to probably screen their people and do a more thorough background investigation. I found out a few things about them that I didn't like.
Some of the people that came here were a little bit shady, but some of them went out of their way to give us good care.

5 minutes ago I got a call from the owner, and she wanted to talk to me about what happened between me and the person in the office. She got very rude with me and talked to me like a child, and she was being very rude to me. She kept saying I'm supposed to call the office and give them a 24-hour notice, and she called me nuts, and then I started to get very upset. I don't need a company that tells me I'm nuts just because I don't need someone to work.
I wouldn't recommend them to anybody because I take care of my mom and live with her during the day, and I just need someone for her from 3-11 when I work. On my days off sometimes I don't need anybody or I just need them for a short time, and last night I texted the caregiver and told her I didn't need her to come in and she said that was fine. But then I got a call from someone in the office and she pretty much scolded me for texting the lady working, and that I have to go through the office. She just kept going on about me calling the office and giving them a 24 hour notice and that I shouldn't call the caregiver, and was talking to me like I was 5 years old.

I was in pretty bad shape and could't do a lot of things. They were able to do light cleaning and take me to anywhere I needed to go.
They are prompt, caring, and very dependable.

Everything has been positive for the most part. I keep telling them that they're truly angels here on earth. I don't have to worry about my dad while I'm at work. Sometimes, instead of handling things themselves, I get phone calls. I don't turn off my cell phone until after I know they've left. I'm always on edge until I know he's in bed. I wish they could just handle whatever is happening.

Visiting Angels interviewed me first and gave me the option to choose the caregiver. The first person that came from Visiting Angels wasn't a good fit, they didn't have anyone else available to send. The caregiver wasn't that helpful.

I am very fortunate to have my helper from Visiting Angels, and she goes ahead and does things for me without me even telling her. I have to walk down a large hallway with my laundry basket to do my laundry, and one day I mentioned it to my caregiver, and now she does my laundry and cleans the carpets for me.
