This company really cares about the people they care for. Even though the first aide they sent out wasn't the right fit, they sent a second one that was much better suited to our families needs. Each aide was promptly on time and even early to every shift, they were friendly and caring.

My mom is 99 and I don’t know what I’d do without the care provided by Preferred Care in Wellington! They are caring, dependable and trustworthy. Mom gets along well with the two that come in to assist (one during the week and another during the weekend) and they go above and beyond to help her. They come in for 3-5 hours in the morning to help with pharmacy pickup, groceries, meals, and whatever she needs.

For over a year, Preferred Care offered thoroughly professional companion service to a terminally ill friend: the quality of companions was very, very good, and they adapted their support to changing needs as the illness progressed. The companions always were dependable in arrival time, and Preferred Care provided dependable substitutes in a timely manner if there was a need to do so.
The companions' were also observant and kept the permanent staff in the nursing wing apprised of any physical or emotional variations.
In addition to the caring support they provided to my friend, they became thoughtful supports for me, as well.

I recently had back surgery and expected to be in hospital a few days. I didn't really want to be alone to rely on hospital staff but also didn't want my family to feel the need to be with me 24/7 so I used Preferred Care services. They had someone there all day and all night to help me stay cared for and comfortable. It was a great investment for my peace of mind as well as my families.

Stephanie and her team provided knowledgeable and immediate care when I needed it most and on short notice. The caregivers helped me take my mother-in-law from a nursing home care possibility to a now three day a week eight hour a day schedule. They have always arrived on time and if there was a scheduling issue Stephanie has always made sure there was coverage. The caregivers go with me to doctor appointments to assist me in getting her in and out of her wheelchair and to be an extra set of ears. They cook meals for her to make sure she has meals on their days of non coverage. I'm very relieved that I can depend on Stephenie and her team to take care of my mother-in-law and give peace of mind when I'm not there.

Prior to Preferred Care, we had several other home health providers, which we were not happy with. Preferred Care is the best. Laurie and Vanessa are our home providers. They are caring, professional and wonderful. I have had to add hours due to my Dad's dimentia, and the staff is always willing to accommodate me. The staff is always on time. Not only is the service great for my Dad, they help Mom also.
They accompany her to the hospital, stay there with her and help her psychologically get through this ordeal. We really appreciate all the help they are giving us.

When my mother was diagnosed with brain cancer I knew I wanted to take care of her final days at home. I work full time so I needed help when I went to work. This service was a key factor in being to keep our lives together while still being able to give my mother the final days she deserved. Staff was so kind and dependable!

My mother received in-home care for several years. We started with partial day care and went to 24 hour care. The caregivers were timely and took good care of my mother. They were kind and concerned about her. If they felt like there were concerns, they contacted a family member. We had good communication with them. Stephanie and the staff were easy to work with and responsive to all requests. They stopped in periodically to visit with my mom. She always looked forward to those audits and enjoyed them. We were happy to give my mom the dignity of staying in the comfort of her home during her final years. My brothers and I would recommend Preferred Care to others who need in-home care for a loved one.
