Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

These aren't nurses or doctors or miracle workers. They are doing the best they can. She's got what she's got.
Nobody is perfect and right now we can't find anyone to work. Their performance is going to be limited based on the people they can get. Right now they can barely find anyone to show up. They are doing a good job with what they got.

They give mom assistance a couple of days a week, allowing her to be both independent but get the help that she needs.
I've been please with the caregivers, they are responsive to me when I need them to change the care that is given.

I never knew what call I would get from them. They should have done what they said they would. Sometimes they wouldn't even show up. One girl said she was at our house when she wasn't.
When I hired them, they were supposed to be there every day for set hours with the same 2 or 3 caregivers. We never knew who was coming the next day and they didn't stick with the weekend hours we agreed on.

I use them for general light cleaning of my residence. It doesn't really call for anything more than someone who does a good job, and somebody who knows what it means to come and do some cleaning.
I've had a lot of confusion with the agency - missed appointments, sending people that don't know whether they're very efficient at doing what they're supposed to do.

My mother had dementia, but she felt cared for, when the caregivers brushed her hair, it gave her the time to feel special.
My mother's last case giver was a perfect match, anything we asked her to do she did quickly.

The caregivers I have now made things much easier for me. I don't have to do the care 7 days a week.
We have had a problem with people coming into work and the consistency of the care. There are a lot of call offs.

I had to train them every time new caregivers came. The caregivers were dependable when they were able to come over.
It was hard to find aids all the time. The office would let me know ahead of time, and I could fill in, but it was difficult to always have caregivers there.

The girl is very attune to my needs and knows what my limitations are, she watches me to make sure I don't over do it.
I like that you can changer your hours or days when you need them and that she is allowed to do almost anything I ask her to do.

We had a couple caregivers that were really good, but we had a caregiver I could hardly understand. He was asking me personal questions about food stamps and house insurance and where I get diamonds. That wasn't alright.
Several of the caregivers they sent just stayed on their cell phones.

There were a lot of scheduling issues where people signed up for shifts and they dropped them at the last minute. We had to go there and fill in for them. It was not very fluid.
My only complaint had to do with the experience and training of the caregivers. In some cases, they were just people there who did not know how to work with dementia patients.

Having someone there for my mom really did help me out while I was gone at work. They provided the aides to come to the house. I really liked that they had a care binder to keep me up to date. They were very professional. It put my mind at ease.
They gave her attention. They were very personable and they had a good bedside manner. They always kept me up to speed on things. They communicated with us.

We have people who come here get him out of bed and dressed. Then they sit and play on their phones.
They can give me notifications. We have been stood up several times. Someone did not come or show up. Sometimes people are very late. They say they were told to come at a certain time. I am not sure if they were fibbing or if someone told them that. They are not always dependable.

The one we had, Shayla, went to the nursing home and detected that he was having problems at the place he was in. He may have died in that nursing home without her.

It was helpful to have the representatives here. They would help with personal care and chores. It enabled me to get out and run errands.
This agency required a certain amount of hours a week. They weren't flexible with our needs in having fewer hours.

They need to know what we believe our job description is. Sometimes they just come in and sit down and that isn't what we signed up for.
I think they need to have proper training for the caregivers. The only problem we have is when someone comes in, our expectations and their expectations aren't equal.

There was an impact since we had someone else in the home. They were not intrusive. She loved her caregivers.
They were very responsive. The people they sent were very nice and knowledgeable. We had one person that did not work out well. They were very helpful and professional.

What they did, I didn't have to do. The caregivers would get him cleaned up and ready for bed, they would undress him, and they wiped up after dinner.
The caregivers were always on time, I didn't have any hassle with them because they were reliable.

I can get things done since someone is with my son. They take him places that he loves to go, and she makes him feel independent.

I felt like once we ordered the service, the communication could have been improved. It was for a wedding. Someone came to pick up my mom from the nursing home to the wedding. The person could have called me beforehand to let me know they were coming.

They are always here.
They can follow through with what they say they are going to do. I was told that my manager was going to come out every week to check books and to see how I'm doing, and they have never done that. I asked to interview with back-up staff so that I can always have someone fill in for me if I need them to. I have been with them a year and have only interviewed two people, and neither were a match. I have repeatedly asked them for a fill-in caregiver that I can interview with.
