Right at Home Overview
Right at Home of Central Ohio, is a private duty, non-medical home health care agency serving greater Columbus for over 20 years. We are the local, independent local office of Right at Home International, a leading global provider of home health care. We provide several levels of care detailed below including several proprietary programs to improve the quality of life of those we serve.
Companion Care
• Sometimes referred to as Independent Activities of Daily Living (“IADLs”) includes companionship, safety supervision, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, errands, transportation, respite care, pet care and other as needed by our clients.
Personal Care
• Otherwise known as Activities of Daily Living (“ADLs”) includes bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, feeding, transferring, ambulation, toileting and continence care and therapy assistance.
Specialized Care
• Right at Home offers special, proprietary programs for:

• Independent Living with Assistance: Right at Home has staff on site at select independent living communities in the Columbus area to offer the above services in increments a small as 15 minutes to provide affordable assisted living levels of care.

• In addition, knowing what to do and where to get help can be very challenging. Right at Home has also screened and qualified the best providers of Assisted Living, Memory Care, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Hospice and End of Life care and other resources needed for seniors and their families.

She is on time and says I am not too old to do things. She brings positive enforcement.
They are very good at helping people, and I can call them. They have a person for everyone. If it doesn't work, they will find you someone new.

After having dealt with other company’s, I was so happy when I found Right at Home. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly no matter what time of day and or night and no matter what the situation may be. The care needed for my husband is very important. Leah is an amazing caregiver. She has such an outgoing an amazing personality. She goes above what is asked of her. We’ve had other caregivers as well when Leah is not available and they have all been great.

My husband has Parkinson's Disease. He has been falling frequently, and it is hard for me to watch him all the time. Right At Home sends us helping angels to help him. some of the helping angels stand out like:
* Madeline who went way beyond her call of duty and volunteered to look after our dog on a weekend when we were away, on her own time and at no cost to us.
* Ibukin who from day one treated us like family by calling us uncle and aunt. She worked nights. She made sure all the doors (including the dog door) were locked. She cleaned up the kitchen and helped my husband in and out of the bed in the middle of the night multiple times.
* Doris has a sunny personality and eagerness to help and learn new things.
* Zainab who lights up the place with her cheerful nature.
We thank Right at Home for sending us caring people to look after us. They provided different aides on both day shift and night shift for several weeks.

I'm looking forward to my next caregiver because they pick satisfactory people. They learn my methods. I had to clean my house up for company without them recently and didn't realize how hard it is, so I'm even more appreciative of the help I get.
They communicate well. They give me a heads-up and respond to my needs quickly. They're always friendly and cheery.

A family wedding has a million little details. Among them, ensuring your 95-year old mother has the undivided attention of a skilled, caring individual who enables mom to attend, participate and enjoy (thus allowing you to do the same)! That's exactly what we got with Sabrina from Right at Home.
She rolled with the uncertainties of the event, for example, sitting and mingling with the family at a black-tie event, while making sure mom was her primary focus. She tended to all her personal needs, including driving her back to her assisted living facility and tucking her into bed. We could not have chosen someone who was better suited for this once-in-a-lifetime event for our family. Sabrina truly gave us, and mom, the peace of mind we needed to enjoy every minute of the event. Thank you, Sabrina and Right at Home!!

Our mother needed more help in her life, but was not ready to move to Assisted Living. She was having hearing issues as well as losing her sight. Chrissy from Right at Home has been a great blessing for her. She aids her with physically taking care of herself, but more importantly, is there as a friend and confidante. We, her family, are relieved that someone is checking in on her when we can't be there everyday.

I have been using the services for a while now and they are fabulous! I enjoy the girls and they are always willing to do what is requested. They are fun, supportive and very enjoyable. I couldn't ask for more! Right at home is amazing and I would recommend them to everyone!

Our family contacted Right at Home years ago when we realized Mom needed a bit of help with simple everyday tasks at her independent living facility. As her needs have changed, the Right at Home staff has worked closely with us to make sure she has the care she needs such as help with laundry, bathing, medication reminders, etc. They have been extremely flexible and attentive in facilitating changes and adding services, sometimes with little notice. The Care Angels are like family! Mom feels safe and loved, they truly care about Mom. They know her likes and needs, and notify us of any changes they see. We feel we have true partners in her care. The recent lock downs have made life particularly challenging for families. I don't know what we would have done with out the continued support of Right at Home.

This company is terrific. I asked my Dad once, who gave better bathes, me(his daughter) or Randi from Right At Home, he said, Randi, I laughed and said, why, he said, she warms my shower chair up before I sit in it and you don't. How is that for care, lol

Great staff that truly cares as if they are part of the family. 24/7 availability is truth... I have never waited more than a couple of minutes for a call back, and usually don't even have to wait for a call back because Martha, Misty or JP pick up. Any small training curves or concerns have been addressed and solved efficiently and professionally. They are the best thing that ever happened to us. My dad loves each and every care angel. I highly recommend Right At Home. I have had some very usual requests and they have not treated them to be unusual at all. They are willing to make my dad's life the best quality possible, no matter what it takes.

As my parents went into their aging & immobility phase fast , we had no idea how to help them. Right At Home has been absolutely wonderful! The peace of mind knowing a care giver is with my mom has meant the world. Her aid from Right At Home provides, not only straightening up, caring for my moms needs, etc... but more importantly companionship. After my dad passed away my mom was alone. Even though she is in an assisted facility she’s alone much of her day. There is no better gift than to have someone you trust hang out with your loved one. What a blessing. Also if we’ve had questions about billing, etc. there have been nothing but angels on the other line to help us. It’s just been a beautiful experience from every angle.

The care and concern experienced exceeds anything imagined. How can you put a price on the cost of caring for your best friend and spouse when you cannot do it yourself? You cannot. The justification is that their care represents what I would have done. Amazed at how personal these professionals are in every instance. Highly, highly recommended.

I think they schedule the girls too heavily and she's tired.
Some of them are really good, but my concern is they scheduled too many for the girl on my day and she doesn't get here till 3:30, so she's tired and doesn't do a real good job.

They could have someone come and rub my legs. I had a broken leg and I have swelling in my leg, and they don't want to send me nurses anymore.

Our needs change as time goes on and our caregiver is on time and helps us meet my husband's everyday personal needs. She is so helpful and never fails to ask if there is anything else she can assist us with. There have been times we have needed to change time and day and the agency has always been very accommodating .

I don't have to worry about doing everything that I can't do, and it's all taken care of. I couldn't do it without them.

It depends on who's here. One caregiver is very poor. They need to learn what they're doing, how to properly put the socks on, and how to listen and follow the instructions.
They could give me a permanent schedule at the time that I would like. I want them at 8:00am or 8:30am and they can't seem to arrange that. I want to compliment and praise a certain caregiver. They are very skilled and very knowledgeable, well-trained, well-spoken, has excellent work ethic. They're excellent.

The office staff was excellent and very helpful. They take time to answer questions and get the right people to take care of my husband. When my husband was not satisfied with the care provided, they immediately found someone else to replace them. They office staff was always concerned if our needs were met.
