Questions I have are always answered in a timely manner. Any changes or anything out of the ordinary with my dad are always communicated with me, again, in a timely manner. Everyone is always professional and knowledgeable and the whole staff makes it a point to get to know me and my dad to make sure his specific needs are met (medication reminders as needed, light house keeping, meal prep, laundry, companionship, etc all as needed. Dad sometimes wants a lot of interaction and sometimes not). I always feel heard and understood and feel like I'm talking to friends or family not just an agency hired to help my dad. I feel Home Instead truly cares for their clients and their clients' families. They are very knowledgeable of available agencies and resources in the community that may help provide various additional services to their clients. I feel relieved to know my dad is in good hands especially because I live a distance away. I would and HAVE recommended Home Instead to anyone looking for home care/assistance.

Following a stroke my partner experienced 6 months ago he is continuing to make significant progress due largely to the quality care he gets each morning from Home Instead. Their caregivers always arrive on time and are highly professional and friendly. They have me a lot so that I can care for my partner at home. Both of my elderly parents are experiencing failing health simultaneously and Joan, the Director of our local Home Instead and her staff, have been a Godsend. We have had to arrange 24/7 in-home care for my parents in just a couple weeks and I have never experienced such excellent customer service in terms of responsiveness, genuine caring, and a deep understanding of the complex issues of Independent elderly parents facing the limitations of health crises. Communication with all the staff members has always been respectful, courteous and very efficient. Their knowledge and understanding of systems and of issues that had not yet occurred to me to consider has also been invaluable. My sibling and I are still fairly new to this level of health emergency for our parents and Joan and her staff have made this much more manageable and given us the opportunity to provide care for our parents so they may stay in their home for now.

Home Instead took care of my mother before she passed away. I made one phone call and someone from the office came out to let us know what to expect and sign paperwork. Then a few days later our caregiver arrived. I did not have to worry about my mom while I was at work. Her caregiver was very knowledgeable and kind and She was very punctual. My mom loved her! She helped my mom with her personal care, they went for walks, reminded mom to take her medicine and helped me with cleaning up the house so I could spend more quality time with my mom. Home Instead is very caring and they really helped me and my family! Thank you Home Instead!

I'm using Home Instead. The people have been really good. They're kind and considerate, and they are always here on time. They listen to what I have to say, they do what I need done, and they're very cheerful about it. I have a lot of physical problems, but they're very, very good at being attentive. They provide personal assistance. They do my breakfast and lunch, they do my laundry and my dishes, and they clean up what messes I made. They're very good, and I'm very pleased.

I'm using Home Instead - Ravenna, OH. I only have my caregiver three days a week but I can't afford more. The girl I have, Fran, is excellent. I know they're not supposed to do the medications, but she reminds me all the time, takes my temperature, and she brings the thing that has my pills in it. She does my laundry, folds the clothes, makes my bed, and drives me when I have to go to physical therapy. I've been using them for a couple of months now. They send somebody else, but when Fran came, I was happy with her. Early on, the person couldn't come back or something, so they sent Fran and I'm happy with her. She helps me with my showers and my cat is in love with her. She sits down to fill out the forms at the end of the day and the cat sits on her lap.

I love my CareGiver, she amazes me.

Many of my friends knew the situation of my mom and the care I needed for my mom to bring her home on Hospice. It was very hard decision. I do have a large family full of support. During this challenge, we had a couple more medical emergencies that occurred and family member had to go different directions to provide support others. It was a what am I going to do now situation with a mom who was bed bound and my obligation to my employment. Thank goodness for Home Instead. They helped pull me through that tough time. What I learned is it is good to have resourcing helping you through challenging times. It was an added support that I needed and at the time, I didn't know I needed it. It just wasn't the care that they brought but a wonderful caregiver who loved my mom and was a huge emotional support to me and gave me the opportunity to be a daughter once again. It also gave my family the support they needed to help other love ones in our family. Plus, they had a great working relationship with the Hospice. It was nice to see how they worked together to bring the best care to my mom.

our care giver is prompt and patient she is a gift to our family. My only complaint about Home Instead is that they dont have replacement help if our aid calls off sick. We are a working family and need daily care for an elderly parent,.

They worked hard to secure the level of care that was needed when we first realized that we weren't going to be able to provide that care on our own. As time has gone along and needs have changed, they were able to step up their coverage to make sure the client was safe and looked after on a daily basis. The personal assistants have been friendly, patient and positive.

I have very difficult scheduling needs that are filled mostly every time regardless of timing of notification. Caretakers are prompt and professional.

Our dad is 91 and lives in an independent living program. My sister and I live out of state. Home Instead (Ravenna, Ohio) has been providing quality home health aide services and occasional transportation for our dad for quite a few years. Their quality of service & care and attention to specific, individualized needs was really evident to us after dad experienced a serious heart attack last summer. After ICU and rehab, we wanted him to be in an assisted living facility but he was adamant about maintaining what independence he could. With the top-notch staff of Home Instead of Ravenna, dad has safely been able to stay in his home. He gets the personal care vital to his health and we get regular communication from the office which reassures us that his needs are being met.

Tanya, I wanted to take a moment to bring to your attention the amazing staff you have arranged to assist me with the care of my Dad. Last Friday, March 9, 2018, was a rather chaotic day as dad had multiple health issues happening throughout the day. Alice was here in the morning and was so helpful in assisting with care and cleaned up when my dad had a severe nosebleed. Alice knew exactly what she could do to make the situation easier for everyone. She was very calm, showed compassion and worked alongside the nurse and me to provide assistance without having to be asked. Alice was a true angel caregiver and went above and beyond all throughout the time she was here. Later in the afternoon, during the shift of Barb R. my dad had significant weakness and displayed confusion. It became more significant as time went on. Physical therapy came and it was clear that my dad was very weak and it was going to be very difficult for me to get him safely into the bathroom and to bed with no assistance. Barb never hesitated to provide me with all the additional help I needed. Barb and PT both stayed beyond their assigned time without hesitation to assist me in getting my dad safely to the bathroom and then undressed and into his pajamas and safety into bed. Barb was kind, compassionate and willing to go above and beyond what was expected. She was truly an angel that night. Finally, we also have Shawna on our caregiver team. Shawna is very enthusiastic, kind and attentive to my dad. She brings humor to his day and shows great care in all the tasks she completes while she is in our home. This young woman has a very bright future ahead of her. I am so genuinely pleased with the staff you have sent to assist me in the day to day care of my dad. I feel too many times people forget to take time to recognize and appreciate the good work caregivers provide. Hi all. I wanted to share with you some remarks about the caregivers for Mom. Last night, Dad described Ann R. as "the right person at the right time" who was so calm, gentle and patient, who had complete understanding and support and "took everything in stride" as Mom struggled to relieve her constipation. He said that thanks to her "relief is all around us now". She's a keeper and I sincerely hope she feels the same way with my folks. As always, Bev, Adesuwa, and Patty have been wonderful and we so appreciate everything they do and really feel like they are part of our family. I do tell them this but I think you should know as well. I am very pleased. My care lady is such a big help to me. She just knows what needs done and does it. Also she has a good eye and can tell when I need help!

Joan and Tanya, I know I have said it many times, but I want to say it one final time, what a comfort and joy it was to have Mirella as my mom's most frequent caregiver. They clicked from day one and mom came to depend on her, perhaps too much at times as I know she would tell others not to worry Mirella would take care of it. Mom would always say to me don't worry I have my special gal here today. I heard from so many residents at Independence Village how she was so caring of mom and how much they loved her too and hoped she got another client in the facility cause they were going to miss her, too. My sister passed along how loving and attentive she was to mom on that Wednesday before she passed away. I called mom's line to check on her and Mirella answered and said that my mom had been asking for me. She put the phone by her ear and I talked to her for almost two hours as Mirella held the phone and spoke for my mom telling me "you just got a nod of she smiled big or wiping tears". That is time that I will cherish for the rest of my life! I also want to pass along that my brother, Dan, said that he doesn't know how he would gotten off through the night without Shirley there with him Wednesday night. He said she was so good at calming mom when panicked with breathing and allowed him a few breaks just to leave the apartment and breathe a little. I have never met her but I would like to thank her for both my brother and myself. I want to thank Paul for his visits to mom which she always enjoyed so much. She always laughed at how shy he was the first time he ever visited mom and how with each visit he came out of his shell and she looked forward to seeing him and so enjoyed his company. I made a good choice selecting Home Instead Care for mom. You always worked with me to find caregivers that suited my mother's personality and put up with her "firing" of several when they did not mesh. The fact that you handled the billing of her long-term care took a huge burden off me. The hoops you jumped through to try and fill shifts at the last minute during a holiday week was so very much appreciated. Thank you for everything!

Home Instead provides a much needed service by helping us take care of our family member in his home. Our caregivers are very dependable, caring and efficient in all they do for us.

The girls are eager, friendly, polite, respectful, even fun to be with, and always on time. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead. Had them in 2015 too, great experience. Office staff is friendly and helpfull. Everyone genuinely cares.

WHEN YOU DO NOT HAVE THE SAME HOME ASSISTANCE FOR THE COMPLETE TIME -THE ONES THAT REPLACE THEM FOR A DAY OR TWO SHOULD GET IN CONTACT AND UPDATE THEM WITH SOME OF THE VERY IMPORTANT THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE A CERTAIN WAY TO PREVENT INJURY TO THE CLIENT. THAT IS THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAD OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WAS A 5 STAR.
