The Two Nurses agency sent a caregiver who refused to provide necessary urological care. Even more seriously, when we complained to the Two Nurses management about this, management supported the caregiver’s refusal to provide this care. A written statement from the physician confirms that the care refused should have been be provided. The owner is personable and friendly, and initially seemed committed. And, there was effort to ensure new caregivers were trained. However, there were multiple issues with organization and scheduling. Several times there was a mix-up about the schedule and no one was available to fill a promised shift at the last minute. Ultimately, the Two Nurses agency was not dependable. Out of approximately 168 shifts scheduled with Two Nurses, during the course of the few months we tried to work with them, the agency: Missed 4 shifts with less than 12 hours’ notice, Missed 2 additional shifts with no prior notice at all (no-shows), Was more than 15 minutes late for an additional 34 shifts, or approximately 20% of the scheduled shifts, Allowed caregivers to announce at the beginning of a shift that they wouldn't stay for the full shift. Additionally, there was a lot of turnover of caregivers in a relatively short time. And, we are concerned some caregivers were not background checked before being sent.
