I hired Shining Star Home Care Inc. for my mother. The staff themselves have been great, but it's the caregiver. He called me and wanted to get money from me. I thought it was inappropriate and manipulative. They were the most expensive of all the different ones. I just wanted to give Carmen the opportunity to find somebody who is a better fit. The caregiver is taking them to appointments, and he is cooking for my mom.

Shining Star is wonderful! All of their staff is kind and knowledgeable. My parents have been happy with all of the staff. I would highly recommend using them.

Shining Star is a care agency that all agencies should example after. The professionalism is grade A. Their integrity is not only reliable, it relieves stress because you know without a doubt that the Director and staff will put their all into finding the exact care you need. They are provable. I am a 50 year old disabled woman who's independent and on my own, Shining Star always makes me feel like they are watching out for my care needs like family would.

Looking for a caregiver ...look no more and call Shining Star Home Care, I highly recommend Shining Star. Carmen and her dedicated staff of caregivers are fantastic. I used the the 24 hour live-in service for over 5 years for my parents. Thank you Carmen.

I can't say enough good things are Carmen and her staff! They service that they provide their clients is second to none! Always there for you. Compassionate and willing listen.
My mom is very happy and is living a life that wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for Carmen. Attentive and caring. I strongly suggest that you reach out to Shining Star for any help you might need.

My mom had undergone hip replacement surgery and after falling the day after she was discharged from the hospital, we quickly realized she would need more assistance over a greater length of time than we had planned for.
Carmen met with us to assess my mother's needs and immediately started working on arranging for the right caregiver on her staff that she felt would be a good fit. She answered all our questions, and was very clear in terms of what our options were, what the caregiver would provide, and what to expect.
Carmen arranged for us to meet with the potential caregivers to interview them and confirm we were comfortable with them. We had two caregivers that split the week up to care for my mother. Both were very helpful, compassionate and attentive. Most of all, we felt relieved knowing that my mom was in safe and capable hands.
I highly recommend Shining Star Home Care if you have a loved one that is in need of caregiver services!

Carmen is an excellent care manager owner. Prices are reasonable, We have an excellent caregiver for my wife who is a stroke survivor who is very active.

I'm using Shining Star Home Care Inc. and so far, it's been very good. They're providing the service I've asked for. I just have one caregiver now and she's doing quite well. Her attitude is great. She knows my house, she knows my habits, and she's very caring. She makes sure I have my cane in my hand when I get up. She's good. She prepares meals for me and does a little housework around the house. Nothing extensive, but keeps the kitchen looking clean and drives me to the doctors. She's a very good driver.

Carmen is great, I called her for info and told her what I was looking for and she said shining star could meet my needs and a few weeks later when I was ready, she provided care as promised. She is honest and sweet, I'm glad I went with Shining

First off, Carmen is very helpful and caring and so easy to talk to. She was upfront about pricing, which is very affordable compared to other home care services. She came out to the nursing home to assess our father and she was very warm and welcoming. She took down a complete history of illnesses and emergency contact numbers right away. She sent a caregiver out to meet with our father and she showed up early and followed up later with a phone call. Our father's caretaker shows up on time and in uniform and goes straight to work by greeting our father with a warm good morning and smile.

I am responsible for the care of a 75 year old woman with Alzheimers and a heart condition. Shining Star is providing 24/7 care for her in her own home. The 2 caregivers are completely dependable, trading days off when necessary. They treat her as a family member, shopping and cooking for themselves and her, reading to her, going through her family albums with her, taking her for walks in her wheelchair, and enjoying the backyard together. The also bathe and exercise her everyday. She loves her cats, and the caregivers take good care of them too.
They give her the medications prescribed by her doctors and take her to all doctor appointments.
I manage her bills, but am so grateful to have no worries about the weekly money spent on the food and hygiene supplies required. They shop for what is needed and are so responsible. I'm very grateful to Shining Star's management, the caregivers, and to my friend who recommended them to me.
