They make that he's ventilated and everything and in good standing and making sure that he's comfortable at all times. The nurses are good and on time and they show up.

They need a lot of work. I have been dealing with agencies for almost a decade. They need to improve communication and the training for their caregivers. That's my whole concern about the agency. They could improve communication between the clients and the agency. They could keep me informed about everything in the schedule and who's coming.

We are currently using BrightStar to care for our friend, an elderly woman, who has moderate dementia. We began with 8 hours / day for the aides to come to the apartment, but as the dementia progressed, we have enlisted BrightStar for 24/7 care. The BrightStar aides arrive on time, are very pleasant to deal with and keep management apprised of any issues as soon as they arise. In addition, we have found that management is very responsive to our requests. BrightStar has their caregivers undergo training to understand the dementia and how to handle their charges who suffer from this insidious condition. We have been very pleased with the warmth and care that the aides have given our friend. BrightStar also has a nurse that regularly visits our friend, ensuring that her medication boxes are filled correctly and confirming that our friend's grooming and health needs are being taken care of at the highest level. We highly recommend BrightStar for any family that needs to hire a service to care for a loved one.

He gives me exercises that help me improve and heal. He is helping me get back on my feet, which I need. They come to the house, which is a big help. With my back surgery, I can't travel much. The physical therapist assistant, Erwin, has been very attentive and helpful. He knows when to push me and when not to.

I have them come when I need help to get my husband into the apartment building, and they also make him dinner. They help take care of him in the morning and make sure he takes the medications. They make breakfast for him. It frees me up to do what I need to do. I can get them for 2 hours instead of the usual minimum. They let me know what's going on and check in with how things are going. They see how I like the caregivers.

They need to deliver what they say they deliver. I haven't seen any evidence of how their agency is better than other agencies. I don't see how it justifies the price tag they have. They haven't met my expectations on the most basic of things, let alone the features and benefits that we promised to us and that they claimed I would receive.

BrightStar was very helpful throughout my entire time with them. I had to transfer my care from BrightStar Austin to BrightStar Houston and then to BrightStar Upper East Side in New York, and the process was seamless. All of the nurses were extremely kind and helpful. Every phone conversation I had with anyone at BrightStar was very helpful. The people who work at BrightStar Upper East Side truly care about their patients and made my life a lot easier. I needed weekly dressing changes for my PICC line, and they were extremely efficient and helpful throughout the entire process.
