Excellent - timely, finds back-up for home care if needed so we are never without help, which was not true of previous team. Also our help is a wonderful lady who has done this before and provides consistency, which is needed.

Christine was a true blessing as she became family to us over time. When my parents needed 24/7 care we reached out and again Sr Helpers immediately developed a plan and implemented it when we needed it. The caregivers are outstanding. They go above and beyond to provide outstanding care. They kept us informed on a daily basis, would handle cleaning, shopping, cooking, and assist with ensuring medications were taken on schedule. In short our family couldn't have been more impressed with both the management (Peg), or the aides who provided 24/7 care to my parents. For our family, Sr Helpers of Smithtown was a true blessing. They became part of our family and we always felt their actions on a daily basis showed they always took my parents care as if they were their own parents. Sr Helpers was very responsive anytime we needed to make changes to the schedule, and had excellent recommendations to improve the safety of our home for my parents.

Initially, I had a long list of requirements when I was looking for a caregiver agency for my mother. Senior Helpers was the only one that met all the requirements. The caregivers follow daily care duties for my mom including giving her meals, going shopping, keeping track of her daily medications, helping her change clothes, being a companion, occasionally driving her to appointments, etc. At this point, my mother needs 24-hr care, and that transition progressed very smoothly. From the beginning, my communication with the wonderfully dedicated and caring office staff has been wonderful. We are in constant touch and are always very responsive to my requests and my mother’s needs. And as my mother’s needs evolve, they are always very accommodating, updating her care sheet and communicating the information to the caregivers. The majority of caregivers are very good, and some are outstanding. They are all caring, compassionate, but most importantly, are very flexible in meeting my mother’s needs as well as having the initiative to make helpful suggestions. They communicate with me constantly about my mother’s care and issues that come up. One key attribute, among many, is that Senior Helpers always provide quality and responsible caregivers. Even newcomers to this profession are carefully screened and thoroughly trained. I am always very impressed with their sense of responsibility and accountability. I would highly recommend Senior Helpers to any families that require care for their loved ones - shouldering the responsibility of caring for an aging parent is tremendous. Senior Helpers alleviates the anxiety for the family for the best possible outcome at this stage of looking after a parent.

I hired Senior Helpers for my mom. It is basically companionship. They take my mom outside for a walk, they engage her in conversation, they help her get into the shower, they give her a shower, and they prepare lunch for her.
