Right at Home Hudson Valley provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation and other tasks. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

It is very important to her, when the caregivers interact with her a lot, it makes her day good. Otherwise, she spends the day like she is alone.
Some of the caregivers are good and some don't do much at all. They could get better caregivers that are more consistently good.

We've hired Right at Home Hudson Valley. We chose them because they had good online ratings, and they were very responsive when I called. The caregiver was very attentive, understood my parents, and was reliable. They were fairly flexible and kept me informed if there were any schedule changes. The billing was acceptable. The owner or their main representative, Scott, is very careful to explain things very well. We really felt that they cared about our situation. They provide home assistance, light housekeeping, and mental stimulation.

The new caregiver that my dad has, has really given him quite a lift. The caregiver definitely goes way beyond what I am asking or need him to do for my dad. It's a lot of going out. He takes him to parks. When he can't walk or can't walk as much, they go on long car rides. They have gone to all kinds of places to keep him socializing and keep him from not sitting at home watching TV. They keep him busy and a lot of things that perk my dad up. He's not the type to sit still, so the caregiver during the day is able to support that and keep him as busy as possible. He is just very attentive and goes beyond what I ask him. He has been very good for him.
I like that Right at Home has done a great job at helping get a caregiver for my dad that works with his personality and works with his needs.

Her personal care was always done and she was always fed and clean. She was always well taken care of in that respect.
Some of the caregivers could have been a little more creative in their mental stimulation. They could have been better about keeping her up during the night so she wasn't up at night. If she had more mental stimulation during the day, she wouldn't have been up all night.

The care provided for this client, includes help with daily activities following a stroke, going to appointments with her and following up on aspects of her Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy.
Both aspects of the organization have excelled from my perspective. The Administration and management listened carefully to both the objective (specific tasks needed) and subjective (personality type and communication preferences ) of the client. They were involved prior to hospital discharge in anticipating what and when care was needed and it was in place immediately. There is regular communication as needs change and care changes accordingly. In this time of COVID concerns, they have strict guidelines protecting all.
The second aspect are the caregivers. They have been matched with the client's preferences. They are knowledgeable, helpful, caring and provide essential feedback on the client's status and needs. When the match or care is not as hoped, a change has been made immediately. When an employee is unable to come, they work hard to find coverage.
They have reduced the concern and stress of family and friends. I highly recommend them.

They help most by being able to do other things in my life. My mother has dementia and I am an only child. Having someone there when I need to go shopping, go to the gym, or just have a life is helpful. it has been a relief to myself and my family.
We had a couple of issues because we need a lot of aides so we had to coordinate a lot but the quality is correlated to the quality of the individual caregivers.

Scott T. and Right at Home have saved
My life and my 93 year old mother’s life. Scott found two amazing women to assist my mother. He knew exactly what my mother needed. Since I work and could not provide the care my mother needed, I called Right at Home to help take care of my mom. My mother was struggling to live. Emotionally , she could not be alone. When the two ladies came into her life, everything changed for my mother .

A caregiver from Right at Home is there in the morning to monitor my friend while she's taking showers because that's where she's fallen and gotten injured in the past. They do light cleaning and they're adequate for just taking care of her, but they can't or don't take her to her doctors. It's a situation where they're limited. They're pretty expensive for what they do. It's less than what I thought they would be capable of doing.

I think they do a good job. The caregiver is right on time and takes good care of my mother. I just don't understand why they bill me so far in advance. I can see a big difference in my mother. She's got company, and she didn't have any before. The caregiver took her to the doctor, and she's even put on weight. We've had some challenges this year.
