Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

Right at home Farmingdale is incredible. Maria M is responsive, reliable, caring, flexible. All caregivers she scheduled arrived on time and were wonderful with my parents. They cared for mom sent home after a hospital admission for dementia. They watched her carefully and tended to her needs kindly and efficiently. I would hire this team again in an instant without hesitation.

I can’t say enough about the great experience I had with Right at Home! I used them to provide companion care for my mom who was on Hospice care. Maria, the staff coordinator was friendly and did her job very well. She was able to provide wonderful companions who treated my mom with respect. They made sure her needs were being met by any medical team mom encountered while also providing a friendly conversation. They helped her with tasks she couldn’t do anymore because she was ill. They treated her with dignity in her last days. Vanessa, Marva, Mickey, Unita and Dionne were mom’s dream team! They really took excellent care of mom and communicated with the family. They all helped to be mom’s advocates as well as a friendly face, she got to see throughout the day. I can’t thank them enough. I hope I didn’t forget anyone! Use Right at Home! Right at Home has helped our family out when our aunt was no longer able to care for herself alone. The staff went above and beyond to find the right fit. Since we don't live close they made sure to give updates and advice. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for caretakers. The office was professional and empathetic and responsive. We never had to worry about the care our aunt was getting.

If you are looking for care for a loved one, do not look any further. Right at Home in Farmingdale is the place to go! The caregivers are respectful, caring and compassionate! They arrive on time. They treat my mother like a person! When I call, my mother is upbeat and excited to tell me about her day. The caregivers do not just come in and take over. They work together with my mother so that she can maintain her independence. Also, communication with the office staff is amazing. They keep me informed of any changes, call my mother to see how things are going and even call me to give feedback and ask to see if there is anything else we would like for the caregivers to do. I cannot say enough about how happy I am and more importantly how happy my mother is!

They made the whole process so much easier than expected. My aunt was getting out of rehab after a fall and home care was so new to me, but Christine and Maria held my hand during each phone call when I had more questions. I called one agency before Right at Home and it was very sterile. This office took their time to really get to know my family's situation. The caregivers have been great - very compassionate and competent. If there's ever an issue, the office calls me right away so I know what's going on and adjust if we have to. Thank you Right at Home!

RAH has provided care for my mother for a year and a half now. They have been wonderful and provided great staff to watch over her. The feedback they provide has helped adjust the needs required for the in home care providers to run things optimally. They are also receptive to any changes I thought would be beneficial.
The coverage has been flawless. When a scheduling change happens I receive ample notice prior to it. On the rare instance of a last minute change I have received a call and the staff member on site remains at her house until relief staff arrives. The covering staff have been of the highest quality.
The two regular caregivers have become part of my extended family. They are truly Saints and I thank them for the loving care they provide for my mother each and every day!

My mother has been a Right At Home South Shore Long Island client for nearly 2 years. During this time (including during COVID lockdowns) the aides assigned to my mother have provided very caring, wonderful help. As my mother has become increasingly frail, they have even been able to arrange for care at the last minute. The office staff is incredibly professional and has always been more than prompt in returning calls and taking care of problems. I do not live close to my mother and to have their strong support services available to us has given our family much peace of mind. I cannot recommend them enough.

The staff at Right at Home have been professional and understanding to address the needs of mom. There were times that I needed to change the schedule and without delay our needs were accommodated.
I would Select Right at Home South Shore Long Island for the added value and security, knowing that the members of the staff are willing to work through tough situations. The caregivers are trustworthy and attentive to the many daily needs that keep mom happy.

I highly recommend Right at Home. We have used Right at Home for the past 7 months to provide at home caregiver services to my mother who has Alzheimers. The agency is very responsive- even on weekends- and has worked with us to adjust caregiver schedule as needed. Staff arrives on time, and if there is every any issue or question that arises, the agency contacts me immediately.

This agency was excellent for my Mom. My Mom needed companion care as Dementia was starting to take over and she was not able to take her own medications, prepare her own meals, etc. This agency was able to provide steady, dependable coverage for the weekends and as needed during the week when I called. The office staff is very caring and responsive at all times. I would HIGHLY recommend this agency to anyone that needs help for a family member.

The Gagleano Family were instrumental in creating a calm positive transition into home care for my mom. They both made personal visits to ensure my mom's happiness. Their staff was amazing in providing information and coverage. Their aides are well trained and insured.

Right at Home is providing 4 hour a day in-home care for my 98 yo dad. The staff has been very helpful in setting up an arrangement that makes sense and addresses my dad's needs. We are new with the agency, but the aide that has been coming has been pleasant and helpful and compliant with all of our specific requests for assistance for my dad.

My husband has dementia and we had Patricia come to the house. She was knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding. She had effective ways to engage him. I found her to be very helpful. My situation at home has changed, but if it changes back I would definitely request Patricia again. Also, it was a pleasure dealing with Right at Home.

Right at Home was very professional and caring and provided a very good caregiver for my mom. They provided assistance with her medications, personal care, and feeding. My mom was very comfortable. They probably needed someone, like an RN, who was more licensed about medications and could provide more information about whether or not the medication she was taking would be needed. The billing was excellent. The bill was accurate and emailed to me so I could see the information online.

I was having trouble finding the right company to fit my mothers needs her being 85 and no longer having the ability to walk on her own, I called 7 home care companies pryor to this one then I spoke to Maureen at Right At Home and immediately I knew I was dealing with a professional who was understanding patient kind and extremely knowledgeable, within 2 hours of the phone call Tony the owner was in my mothers hospital room assessing, filling out all paperwork, making phone calls and lining up well qualified aids for whenever my mother got home which no one knew when that was going to happen!!!! Jeanines' calm, experience and hands on approach really completed an extraordinary learning experience in an otherwise difficult and scary one. I thank God that I found them to this day. The caregivers from Right at Home are fantastic. They’re doing on-call assistance -- not really nursing, but just more like someone to care for my mom and kind of be there as a helping hand. As soon as I texted, they texted back, and if I called, they called right back. They’re always friendly. There’s great communication. They really do personal care.

From the first phone call to RAH, I sensed the caring and concern for both mom and myself. This was followed up by a home visit where mom was evaluated and an appropriate care plan was developed. Next, I was introduced to a lovely young caregiver who has been with mom for several months. She is cheerful, reliable, attentive and caring. The lines of communication have remained open with all parties involved. I would highly recommend this agency.

My dad passed away in March of 2015. My parents were married for 57 years and they were a couple who did everything together. When he died, it was an extreme lifestyle change for my mom. She lost her lifelong companion and did not drive. My dear friend recommended Right at Home and both my mom and I could not be happier with the care that she is receiving. Tony and Patricia are so professional and my mom's companions make her feel very comfortable. Right at Home has exceeded my expectations. My mother had returned home after a 2-month stay in a nursing home rehabilitating her broken hip. When I contacted RAH, they eased any concerns I had about her as a senior citizen making a smooth transition. They explained how they would address her needs on daily basis. So far, all of the aides have been courteous and professional. Right at Home has made my mother feel comfortable and that makes all the difference.
