I've had an excellent experience with Ellison Care from day one. I was stranded with somebody to take care of my father in-law who was not well and living at home. They called me back at 5.30 in the morning before noon on the same day with an unbelievable snow storm. They've been great! They're very reliable. We have two caregivers. One comes 4 days a week and one comes and the other 3 days a week. The one who spent most of the time with my father is like family. She's very loving and she takes such good care of my father in-law. She really cares for him. I really cannot imagine not having her. I met the owners and they were very down to earth. They really try to meet the needs of the family and the patient. We recommended them to a family member who needs care and it's also working out very well.

My mother lives in NY and she needed part time help at home. Shirley helped me with the arrangements (I live in CA) including having a companion/helper come to interview with my mom so that we could be sure it was a good match. The helper is fantastic and my mother, who originally was very anxious about the assistance, looks forward to the daily visits and thinks of her companion as another grand daughter. It has worked out better than I could have imagined. Shirley was caring and attentive throughout this whole process; she returned my calls very promptly, gave her personal attention to my concerns, and showed genuine caring about the situation. I am an occupational therapist and have worked in Home Health for over 20 years -- and I have no hesitation in recommending this agency to anyone who needs assistance in the NY area.

This agency provided just the right person to care for my Dad with Alzhiemers Dementia. They interviewed us to understand our personalized needs and made sure that we were satisfied. We can't say enough about the caregiver they provided. Because of him we have peace of mind and know that our loved one is getting the best care possible. We can recommend them unreservedly!!

My mom who is 91 years old is the one receiving the care. She will be 92 this August. My sister in-law had gone online to look for a full time aide for my mother after she had a surgery near her eye which would limit her walking ability. The assisted living place where she was staying at that time told us that mom needs a full time aide. They could have provided us with one but my sister in law saw Shirley Ellison's company and we did use her. She provided us with several caregivers. One who stays over night. One would be there during the day. When my mother moved to a different assisted living facility, those two girls had gotten other jobs with Shirley so she recommended another caregiver. We did deal with 3 different caregivers with Shirley's company. As a matter of fact, we were so happy with all of the caregivers she provided as that I recommended her company the assisted living facility. I gave her Shirley's name, flyer and pamphlets. I won't recommend somebody if we had a bad experience. We had excellent experiences with every single caregivers she provided us. They were beautiful girls. They were so nice that I actually became friends with them and I have their personal numbers in my phone. Once in a while they'll call me or I'll call them just to say hello. The one girl spent Christmas day with us. We invited her and came to my brother's house for Christmas. She was such a lovely girl. You would not be disappointed. I can't imagine having problems with any of the caregivers that Shirley would recommend to you. We never had problems with them. They were honest, nice and took very good care of my mother. They were very loving towards her. I have nothing but glowing things to say about Ellison Home Care. Shirley does run a very good business. She's very reliable and dependable.

I interviewed several agencies in the area and when I met Shirley, she personally came to see what my needs were. She felt very warm and knowing. She said that she had the right person for me so when I heard that I knew that she was the one I wanted. The caregiver was excellent. My mother was pretty much comfortable with her. We were with them for only 6 months. My mom already passed away but I can truly say that we were satisfied with their service. I wish I had them years back and had them longer than I had used them for.

I absolutely love the person that they sent me. My husband was the one who receives the care but he already passed away a month ago. I think I had somebody for 8 or 10 days. They were recommended to us. My husband lived in Harbor Health and needed a 24-hour companion and that is how they put me in touch with them. I would also absolutely recommend Ellison Home care to others. No doubt about it.

Wow, I just can't say enough about Dorothy. My husband who is completely incapacitated is a current client of Dorothy. We had long term insurance. Dorothy has gone above and beyond what was needed to earn our business. I had a staff of medically skilled caretakers caring for my husband and Dorothy went so far as to take them on as her medical staff to accommodate my family even though skilled medical services is not typical of what she actually does! But, she realized that not only were these skilled nurses his caretakers, she realized that they were also his companions ad She took on the Administration role, financial medical billing and even secured additional caretakers in skilled medical expertise in the event that they are off. She is thoughtful, considerate, professional, efficient. I would definitely recommend her services to others!
