Companion Home Care of LI has been a wonderful agency to work for. My husband and I were looking for a caretaker long distance as we are out of state. Our Mom was a very active 97 year old. We needed a care taker who above all was a self starter and took initiative. Mom needed a person to have conversations with, take walks, cook healthy meals, drive her to appointments and assist in her personal care. Dorothy found the perfect caregiver, who goes above and beyond her duties and really loves our Mom. Doing this long distance is difficult by Dorothy has made it very easy. I can only give this agency my highest rating.

I was very happy with Companion Homecare. I thought everything was very professional. Unfortunately, Elaine wound up going almost immediately back to the hospital, so I think I only had a couple of days with Companion Homecare aide. Everything was fine. Everything was good.

Companion Homecare Long Island was good. They came in the morning, they got mom out of bed, they made her breakfast, and they gave her shower. She has Alzheimer's, so they had to stay with her made sure she didn't run away. They also made sure mom took her pills. She had a habit of not drinking or eating her meat, and she needed it for her blood because she was anemic. So they made sure she drank her water, and they would tell me how much water she was drinking. If she wasn't eating the meat they would try to coax her into it; if not they would call me. They were always on time. If they weren't, they let Dorothy know and there would be a replacement. They were nice to mom. I remember Michelle was particularly funny. I have no complaints at all.

We had to use one caregiver from Companion Home Care. I like him very much. I think he is doing a good job with my brother. The caregiver comes at night time. If he gets up and want something to eat, they give him whatever he wants. There's nothing specific that I really like, it’s overall.

The home health aide that Companion Care sent to help take care of our 92 year old aunt was amazing. Dorothy was able to connect us with a qualified aide that lived in the same neighborhood as our aunt. She was on time, reliable and very well qualified for what the job entailed. I would highly recommend her as well as the services that companion care offers to anyone who is looking for help with taking care of an elderly loved one.

My husband and I use them for my mother who had a stroke. She is very happy with her caregiver and in turn we are extremely happy!

Overall, I was very pleased with Companion Home Care. There was only one day that had a slight mix up of the schedule. They were not able to cover and I had to be there for a couple of hours. Other than that, I consider them excellent.

I found Companion Home Care through a friend's advertisement. The agency was very prompt, courteous, and responsive. The caregiver they provided was outstanding. I had no problems with the management in regards to billing and scheduling.

Companion HomeCare did a very good job. The care was for my father who was having a dementia. We had two people coming everyday, one during day time and one during night time. They made sure that my dad get his medication. The caregivers are young but they handled the job very well. My father was difficult sometimes but they get along well. Also, the management was very cooperative and helpful. I have no issues with them in terms of billing or scheduling.

Companion Home Care were fine and they were also very accommodating. The people that they sent over were very nice and did what they were supposed to do like making sure that meals were taken, run to the grocery stores, pick up prescriptions or go to doctor's appointment. I would use them again if I had the opportunity.

I wouldn't look for anyone else if I needed to hire a home companion for me or someone in my family. She is caring, compassionate, professional and smart. Unless she moves her company to the moon, I plan to call on her services in the future.

I contacted Dorothy at Companion Home Care regarding live-in companion services for my Mother. She truly was caring, explained the home care service in depth, and was very accommodating. It was important to me that the person I hired would be totally attentive with my Mom. Dorothy provided me with three individuals to interview, but I opted to meet with just one who I did hire and was extremely satisfied with. The unfortunate thing is that my Mother was terminal, and from the time of her illness to her passing, it was fast and furious. My only regret is not having the foresight to hire an in-home companion months, perhaps years, earlier. The compassion and service provided was excellent.

Dorothy cared for my mother for the last year of her life. She contributed so much to her that words cannot express. I met Dorothy at a party after I was told by a family member who works for New York's 2nd largest homecare company that it would take them 10-12 days to get a caregiver for my own mother. Within 6 hours Dorothy placed a wonderful caregiver. Initially, Due to some cultural differences we though it may not be a fit.. But, as time we on my mother and the caregiver that Dorothy placed with her were like the very best of friends! It was like Dorothy knew exactly who to place in the home with my mom. I truly can't say enough about how great Dorothy really is. I would do anything for this lady!
