Since 2005, HomeWell of Northeast New Jersey, a family owned and operated home health agency, has been providing high quality care to seniors throughout Bergen Passaic and Essex counties. The owner, Lou Romano was motivated to start the family business after his grandmother became ill. Due to a negative experience with private caregivers, he felt as though quality care was lacking in the community.

After speaking to the staff and having the nurse evaluate my mom's needs, we decided on Homewell 24/7 service. The aide that was matched for her (Clavil) was perfect: experienced, patient, and caring. She was conscientious enough that the first night back from rehab, my mom was so nervous that Clavil slept on the couch in order to listen for her during the night. This was over and above her duties. My mom can be very ornery and difficult, but Clavil has enormous patience. I would highly recommend Homewell service.

This is my first experience but Homewell Senior Care gave me an excellent home health Aide who's very capable. She does her job very diligent and she's so much caring. At times I call her my angel because she's so loving compassionate and kind hearted woman. I m bless to have her and my family are so fond of her. Thank you Homewell for excellent service.

HOMEWELL provides live in care for elderly member. The caregiver is wonderful and has become a member of the family. The agency is ver responsive to requests and found a substitute caregiver for when our live in has to be away that is also terrific and has a very good relationship with our member. We cannot say enough good things about the caregiver we are so Lucy to have. She is the best of the best and we do not know what we would do without her.

My Mom and Dad require a 24/7 HHA. My Mom is ambulatory with a walker but needs assistance with all ADLs. My Dad is on hospice and is presently bedridden. Homewell was wonderful when we contacted them with the needs of our parents. They came to their home interviewed them and arranged for us to interview a prospective HHA. Administration, nurses, office staff and the HHA have all been professional, prompt to respond, and caring. The HHA came at a very difficult time because we had just decided to put Dad on hospice after leaving the hospital.She is experienced, knowledgable, kind, and thorough. She communicates appropriately and compassionately with my parents and the rest of the family. Her meal planning and cooking are geared toward my parents needs. She fits right in!

My elderly father has been receiving live in care for 2+ years. Care and Dignity are a priority for this company. He is clean, shaven, dressed and well fed. His aide during his decline has anticipated and addressed all of his needs. The back office support has also been quick to respond to any requests and has provided substitutes whenever his aide needs time off. Friends and family consistently rave about the care he receives. We could not ask for more.

They provide my mother with a wonderful caregiver who has been with her for 2 1/2 years. When the caregiver has taken time off they have found a good substitute until she returned. Good people to work with.

My Dad has a full time live in caregiver 24/7. We are so thankful for her. She treats my Dad with respect and great care.
The agency is always there to answer questions and to let me know when my Dad's aide needs some time off. They make sure he has coverage.
Scheduling staff is caring and respectful. We appreciate their service.

My family and I, could not have been happier with the service provided by Homewell. The aides were pleasant, efficient and took care of our mom's needs. Interactions with the office staff was also top notch.

The staff was always attentive and professional, as well as empathetic and genuinely caring. From the first contact w Jen K, to scheduling with Jen H, aides, nursing supervisors, everyone treated us and mom with love and respect. The staff was flexible with our unusual schedule and was able to always accommodate our needs. It was a very difficult time made easier with the care of Homewell.

I have enjoyed both hourly and live-in care. Everyone has been wonderful. Careful and attentive to social and health needs. Punctual. Cheerful. Fun. And especially providing support during this upsetting time of Covid.

My family and I had a very positive experience with everyone from HomeWell Care. HomeWell's care manager, nurse, and ultimately the HHA were attentive, caring, and wonderful with my mom in her final months of life. HomeWell came to our home to meet with us before and put so much attention and thought into creating a care plan that met our family's needs. They follow up consistently and were always there to answer questions. I highly recommend HomeWell to anyone looking for excellent care for their loved ones.

I have received in-home care for 10hrs per day, 7 days per week over approximately the past four months. The majority of the caregivers have done a good job over this time with exception to Marie who has done an exceptional job. The support provided by Marie has made all the difference in my getting back on my feet and starting to manage to do things somewhat as in the past. Thanks to all the staff for the help along with the therapists assigned to helping in my recovery.

I was introduced to the staff at Homewell at a very trying time. They were professional, empathetic, and took the time to ask the questions that would help get to know my father better, and to make sure the perfect fit between patient and caregiver was achieved. The caregiver was so kind and patient and although her primary role was to care for my father, she spent time comforting my mother also. I cannot praise this company enough.

My mother needed 24/7 care. The care that Joycelyn gave my mother was extraordinary. She truly treated my mother as if she was her own mother. No request was too small or too big. Joycelyn was always in contact with me when any concern arose and took all the necessary precautions to ensure mother mother was taken care of medically. Joycelyn is a credit to the HomeWell Care Services company. I would definitely want her to take care of me if I'm ever in the position to need care.

Homewell provided aides seven days a week, for 10 to 12 hours per day for my parents over the past two years -- much of the time during COVID. The aides that work with Homewell that provided assistance are professional and caring. They showed up on-time virtually every day and kept my parents safe through this time period.
As one can imagine, scheduling during COVID has not always been simple. This is an area though where Homewell excelled. They handled last minute cancellations by quickly providing substitutes so that it was rarely the time that my parents were left unattended over the past years.
Finally, the Homewell management team is also highly professional and strived to work with the me and my siblings to ensure our needs were being met in addition to our parents. Care plan creation, scheduling and even insurance company submission were all services that Homewell provides in addition to the actual aides themselves.
Eldercare is a time consuming endeavor and Homewell removed one of the stressful and worrisome burdens (finding caring aides) allowing family members to focus on time with our parents.

My husband needed assistance after knee replacement surgery. I contacted Homewell and could not be happier with their help and guidance. Our aide, Freddie, was a fantastic care giver, always anticipating my husband's needs. I do believe that a significant portion of his recovery is due to his expert care.

I used Homewell and I was satisfied.
Problems arose after 4 months. Live in aide was using phone constantly and using Face Time.
She spent minimal time with my mom and spent the day absorbed in her own self interests.
She had to be fired

HomeWell has been a Godsend to me! My mom was just getting out of a nursing home and I didn’t know of a reputable agency to contact to assist her and my dad in their home. Sensing my feeling of helplessness, the nursing home suggested HomeWell. I called and made arrangements right there and then. My parents’ caregiver has been wonderful. She is caring, learned their routine quickly and she always tells me not to worry. I haven’t seen my mom so content in a long time. My parents, both in their 90’s, now have the assistance they need to still live on their own. The agency has been wonderful to deal with, always friendly, all billing is punctual and itemized. I highly recommend HomeWell!

My 98 year old grandfather recently had to have surgery on his back and needed 24 hour care, transitioning to a few days per week. Homewell was immediately recommended by the doctors and physical therapists, and we are very happy we turned to them. The orientation team was professional and laid out all of the options, while listening to my grandfather's concerns. His initial in-home aide was always by his side and made sure all he had to worry about was recovering. Transitioning to shorter-term care was easy, and every aide was professional and caring, not to mention patient. The office staff was also very courteous and understanding, and their communication with my grandfather and our entire family was great. I highly recommend this company and would be happy to answer any questions.

Recently underwent an emergency spinal fusion surgery. Had never been in the hospital before and didn't know what to expect when I returned home. Thankfully Homewell sent a wonderful young woman who took care of my needs and helped me regain much of my strength. I would absolutely recommend Homewell to anyone that needs help after a hospital stay, surgery or to help out a loved one.

I can't express how happy I was with the service. Wayne really cares and the nursing staff was fantastic. They spent so much time with my dad who is not the easiest to deal with. Highly recommend this company - if you need help, use them, you will not be disappointed.

Wayne was a great help when setting up care for my Father. He made a difficult transition easy for my family, and more importantly, for my Father. We initially had trust issues after attempting to hire private aides and being left extremely disappointed and frustrated. We decided to take a chance with a licensed company and we are so relieved that we did! We could not thank you enough!

The process was really simple, there was no long term commitment and that made me feel really comfortable. Other companies wanted deposits and weeks in advance, we needed someone for my dad for a few weeks until he moved in with us and Homewell really did a fine job. Thanks again!

you can tell they work hard to keep families happy. My mother was in a rehab and I was given a few options, it was a tough decision because a lot of them sound the same but because they were family owned I decided to go with my gut. My mom wasn't doing well in the rehab and we were going to put her on hospice. Long story short mom is not on hospice and she is doing great at home because of our aide Sharon. We were uncomfortable starting with Live in care but we know mom needed it. The case manager Stephen walked us through everything and was there every step of the way. What made it easier is that there was no long term commitment and if I called at 9pm at night I spoke to my case manager. Something that is reassuring is that they are always on point and with my life and all the things that are going on in it that's exactly what I need. I highly recommend HomeWell.

I heard about Homewell from caring.com so putting a review seemed appropriate. My brother needed short term care after knee surgery and everything went just fine. We needed male attendants to help because he is a big boy and the company had good people.

There are so many home care companies out there that i talked to and i dealt with for my parents and HomeWell was responsive, so hands on - made a great personality match for my parents who aren't the easiest people to deal with and i appreciated that. The care manager Steve came out to the house sat down with me, my brother and my husband and was very patient with us. we love the aide he brought us! Maria is apart of our family and we don't know what we would do without her! if we could give 10 stars we would. Thank you to the entire staff at HomeWell!!
