About This Community
We specialize in providing professional caregivers to come into the home of our clients and assist them with maintaining their independence. Our caregivers are supervised by our Director of Nursing. We can help with activities like light housekeeping, errands, appointments, laundry, medication reminders, companionship, and meal planning and preparation. We also provide personal care such as bathing, dressing and walking assistance. All of our services are non-medical. We can offer this service from as little as 4 hours per day, right up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All of our caregivers are employees of our company. This means that we don’t use independent contractors and our caregivers go through our interviewing and screening process. All of our caregivers have personal and employment reference checks as well as a criminal background check. They are fully insured and bonded. We are non-contractual so you can stop services anytime you wish.

We have a caregiver come in from Senior Helpers Bergen County six hours a day for my husband. They've been excellent, efficient, very kind and understanding. I have no complaints. They really know how to take care of the patient. They're considerate of the family and concerned about my needs too. They do a great job with their staff development. They take care of my husband's personal hygienic needs, prepare breakfast and lunch, give him his medications, and help with some light household chores like washing and tidying up. They're very good. I have no problems communicating with them.

I would tell someone that Senior Helpers is more or less reliable. These days, my wife's caregiver is able to get her on a bus that will take her to a day program.

I have had a very positive experience with Senior Helpers. So far, they haven't sent any caregivers to take care of my wife that weren't satisfactory. I clearly define what I would like for the caregivers to do, and they do it.

I would tell someone that Senior Helpers is very reliable and that the caregivers they have sent so far have been very caring, timely, and on top of their jobs. The services really help because my dad needs help in the morning to get showered and dressed. As family, we don't do that and need someone else to do it for us.
