Aides assist my mom with her needs including but not limited to bathing, dressing and companionship. Staff always arrives timely. The aides are friendly and let me know of any changes in health they see. They sincerely care about my mom. I appreciate them more than words can say.. All have been very nice and easy to work with.

We have had Home Instead Senior Care in my in-law's home for over 4 months now and have been more that satisfied with their care. My husband and his brother flew in from out of state to evaluate mom and dad's needs to be able to safely stay in their own home. HISC was called in to work with my in-laws and family members to determine what types of care was needed and came up with an excellent plan of care. HISC has provided showering assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, and rides to medical appointments. HISC has been wonderful to work with as needs and preferences have changed: they are accommodating to provide the best care suitable for my in-laws. Our entire family is confident that mom and dad can live safely in their own home for many more years to come with the care provided by HISC.

The first thing to know is that different Home Instead offices are operated by different people. It's a franchise. My experience is with the folks in Nashua. In short: I would only recommend this agency if you have VERY simple requirements, like you want an aide to who can play cards with Grandma. Anything else... no way. I contracted this company for post-stroke care for my dad, who lives in an assisted living facility. Home Instead was unable to provide consistent staff. In course of less than a week's time, with only 9 hours per day of care required, about ten people were assigned shifts to take care of my dad. The quality of the people varied widely... from exceptionally good, to entirely unqualified and useless. I found the management team VERY poor. The owner is entirely unresponsive. The communication is confused. They talk a good game, and they promise a good product. For the needs of my family, they were absolutely not able to deliver.

My aunt went with Home Instead. She is just very pleased and very happy with them. They’re very conscientious. Mostly they just help her with errands and housework, day to day things, and with her medications. There are different women who come; she has them three days a week. Sometimes it’s the same caregiver; sometimes it’s somebody different. At first she resisted it because she’s very independent, but once she had them for a while, she does pretty well with them. They’re very responsive to her. I recommend them for in home care. We've been very happy with them.
