One caregiver showed up with devil ears on her car. Some of the caregivers are not willing to do things that they are supposed to do, or what they are supposed to do is not clear to them. One of the biggest things is that they do not know how to do simple things like fold clothes.
There have been times when we have not had coverage or a caregiver that is a good match.

The caregivers have helped the client the most with showering.
It's probably a struggle because of the staffing concerns, but they need to improve getting people in to actually do the services. They're trying hard and some are coming, but we are missing several.

I consistently and always get my medications when my doctor requires me to get it from BrightStar Care. They always find a way to get me my medication on time and never miss that window. Staying on that schedule brings my quality of life up tremendously.
I like BrightStar Care's flexibility to work around my schedule.

One thing that they have done to make my experience positive is providing a caregiver for us and we were able to leave her with my dad and do other things while my dad was being taken care of.
One thing that I like about this agency is that we had one caregiver that came to stay with him and she was fabulous. I am also super confident with her.

The services are a huge help. With the flexibility and scheduling, the last place any of my providers want me to be right now is a hospital setting or a facility, so for me to get my infusions here at my house, it's a life-saver.
I like my nurse. He gives me as much flexibility as he can with the scheduling.

I had one situation where I did not know who my caregiver would be and I called the wrong branch but they were able to connect me to the right branch and they were able to figure out who my caregiver would be.
They just made everything easy; there was no fuss or anything like that. It was very straightforward and taken care of.

They are in constant communication with me. When my mother had fallen, the caregiver reported immediately to the staff, who reached out to me to see if she was okay.

Everyone they've sent has been a great help. They make life easier because there are things that in my current physical condition I cannot do myself. They give me the backup that I need for ordinary living that I'm not able to do myself.
So far the service that has been offered meets my needs and I don't have to worry about being able to contact people and get arrangements.

Sometimes when they get here my legs will get rubbery and when I get them I feel more confident. I have nerve root damage in the spine.
They are friendly and help out. They check on my comfort during the infusion.

Dad's Care Giver
I was the caregiver for my husband John. I hired BrightStar Bedford for help showering him, exercising his brain and walking with him and finally getting him into bed. The staff was wonderful. Delphina was great with John. He sometimes gave her a hard time, but she persevered. When ever I had a question and called the office, the response was immediate. Unfortunately, I had to put John into a memory care facility this month and he is doing well there. After John had been there for a week or so, Delphine called me to see how he was doing. I'm pretty sure, this was above and beyond her scope of employment! Thank you Delphine and the entire BrightStar staff. Please feel comfortable using this service for your loved one at any time. My only complaint, is that a 4 hour block is required and although the aids are approved to do light household chores, I have always felt I wanted to do these my self. So 4 hours was a little too long for me, but if you enbrace additional help 4 hours would be great.

Thank you to all the compassionate and caring people at BrightStar Care. My family will be forever grateful for the top-notch care you provided our father and for the efforts they put forth to make sure we were comfortable and informed every step of the way. Each person we worked with was knowledgeable and willing to spend the time necessary to ensure the whole family understood the process, challenges and goals. The lovely ladies that came into our home to care for my father were all competent, professional and helpful in not only caring for my Dad, but also in showing the rest of us how to approach his care when they were not here. I know I can speak for my father in saying he was exceedingly happy with all of his caregivers and that his final months and weeks were made much more pleasant because he felt safe and loved. Thank you, BrightStar!!! We are eternally grateful for you all and happy that we chose to bring you into our lives!

I relied on BrightStar to take care of my Mom after she was discharged from the hospital. It was a difficult time as I live in another country and we do not have family in NH. They were patient, understanding, and thoughtful through the entire ordeal. I cannot recommend them enough. I always felt assured that Mom was in her home and being well taken care of as their communication was great. Thanks to the team at BrightStar!

BrightStar Care has been wonderful! They provide care for my husband who suffers from Parkinson's. The staff have been so patient and kind with us as they helped us navigate this process. They helped us understand and maximize his VA benefit and even provided guidance and tips on how to make our home safer for him. All of the girls in the office have been so helpful. My husband's caregiver is an absolute angel. She is kind, reliable, and eager to help. The director of nursing is extremely knowledgeable. I know my husband is in good hands with BrightStar. We are so grateful we found them!

My mother has been cared for by BrightStar, intermittently, for about a year. Recently she had been admitted to the hospital and then rehab. BrightStar called me a couple of times during her rehabs day to check on her well-being. Approximately one month before Mom was discharged I questioned BrightStar about their ability to provide 24/7 care for Mom once she was discharged. They assured me that even with the covid-19 virus that they would be able to provide the necessary care. I emphasized that they needed to have support staff available if an emergency arose with mom's caregivers. Again, two weeks before mom's discharge I called to confirm that they could provide the necessary care. Again they reassured me that they had the necessary staff to care for my mother. One week prior to Mom's discharge I again called to reassure that Mom would have 24/7 care when she arrived home. This time they stated, " We working on it." Less than 48 hours before mom's return to her home, BrightStar called and shared that they had arranged for 16 hours of care for the entire week. What happened to the 24/7 care that they reassured me would be available for my mother? I asked if an employee that had worked for them previously could be released from her " no compete contract" in order to provide some private care to make up BrightStars inability to assist my mother. In true form, they emphatically stated,, "No". My question... Does BrightStar truly care for their clients if they betray the client's and family's trust? I do understand that covid is interfering with all of our lives but I can't tolerate the deceit that BrightStar portrayed to my mother and our family. My mother's wish has always been to spend her final days in her home. Thanks to BrightStar this final wish will not be granted.

They were only able to provide support with personal hygiene. It made a difference and helped a lot. Tammy, my initial contact was 100% helpful to me. She initiated a lot of help for me.
The staffing has been an issue. They have been unavailable to us but maybe that is because of COVID-19, and also, they have not been up to par.

Once we got established, more or less, they were outstanding. There was one LPN or caregiver who was excellent. They stayed with him when they came in.
