I’m working with Griswold Home Care for my mother. She has a therapist through them, and that has been working wonderful. They’ve always been here, coming in to help on time, and whenever I need and call them, they can come. They are very profesional, they seem to love their job and love working with people.

Cindy
I hired Griswold Home Care of Raleigh for Mom. I wanted somebody to come in for four hours on the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, to stay and babysit her so I could go run some errands and just have some time for myself. I was hoping that we could establish a relationship with a caregiver and that if we went on vacation, she could come with us to help with my mom. They found a person and thought they had an agreement with this employee, but several days later she changed her mind. My mom was not pleased with her. The girl said she had to have at least six hours of work because she doesn't have a car and she has to take Uber or Lyft. So if she only works four hours, it's really not enough money to pay for her ride back and forth. Then she changed her mind about the beach, which was eight hours a day for the seven days, so that's 56 hours of work. She wanted to work 12 hours a day, but I don't need 12 hours a day. I do all my mom's care, and I really just need somebody to sit with her and make sure she's OK and take her to the bathroom and just do a few little things with her so I can leave to go do whatever. The people in the main office were very nice. Marc, the director, was very easy to work with. It's just the pool of people he has to hire from is where the difficulty comes. This girl wanted six hours, and I said come two hours early, but she ended up coming late because she was coming from a 24-hour shift. I got a call 15 minutes before she's supposed to be here from the Griswold agency saying she was running late because she was coming from another job. She's the one who wanted to be there at 2:00 because she wanted the extra money. The director and the people who work in the office with him were all delightful and easy to work with, but the girl was a big zero.

Griswold is pretty good. They help mom with appointments, bathing, cooking, and errands. We’ve been using them for a year now. The caregiver is very good, efficient, on time, and reliable. They’re good to use, a good quality, cheaper, and good service.

Not Superwoman
May 07, 2014
I thought I was super woman and could take care of 2 households and ALL my family for the past 3 years. I'm not super woman and just ended up tiring myself out and not spending enough time with my Dad. My Dad has been diagnosed with early stage of Alzheimer's. I finally realized I needed some help because I was not getting anything done at my house or my Dad's. I was just driving back and forth. I needed help. I searched online for in home senior adult care. Several places showed up for my area. I put in a contact me request for 2 places. Griswold Home Care was one. Within 1 hour I got a phone call to see what my needs were. Had an appointment the very next day with a representative in my Dad's home. By the next week had someone coming to my Dad's home to help him out. By the way the other place I put in a contact request contacted me 4 days later. Griswold Home Care has sent 2 wonderful, wonderful Christian ladies to help with my Dad. My Dad has always been an easy going and fine Christian man. It's great to know that Christian people are looking after his well being. Griswold Home Care is a heaven sent blessing. Thanks for all your care, concern and prayers for our family.
