About This Community
Home Instead is a non-medical provider of personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, incidental transportation and even Alzheimer's and dementia care. Our CAREGivers encourage, assist, and stimulate our clients in a variety of activities that improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence. All of these services allow a senior to stay HOME INSTEAD for a longer period of time.
Home Instead - Caregiver Skills
Safety training on home safety, avoiding injury and falls, preventing strain and pain, safety in the kitchen, cautious cleaning, safe driving, outdoor safety hazards, and disease protection and prevention.
Basic training on emergency situations including stroke, falls and fractures and sudden illness, communication tips including communicating to those with dementia or Alzheimer's, activities for seniors to engage in, mealtime preparations, housekeeping tips, signs of abuse, and tips on reducing caregiver stress.
Advanced training on understanding senior illnesses and conditions, depression in seniors, caregiver stress, in-home exercise for older adults, making mealtime fun, communication tips with the senior, their family, and the caregiver's franchise office.
Activity training including reminiscing activities, modifying activities, activities in facilities, adapting activities for those with impairments, different types of engaging activities for older adults such as gardening, mind builders, and crafts and hobbies, and getting a senior involved in the community in places like senior centers, worship services, volunteering and errands.

I so appreciated that I could always reach staff by phone, and they answered my questions and concerns in such reassuring detail. It was very reassuring to be in their care when I was feeling vulnerable post-surgery. I had their full attention, and they were always offering to do more than what I needed. A wonderful agency with wonderful, very attentive staff who always arrived on time and very enthusiastic about helping me. They are a big reason I recovered in such a positive way! Thank you!

Home Instead was able to provide me with 16 hours of care for my husband with Lewy Body dementia at a time when caregivers were very difficult to find. The two caregivers they provided were very professional - arrived on time, kept appropriate logs and listened to my ideas about what worked best with John. They were also dedicated to making their time with him as stimulating as possible. He no longer initiates, but they were able to get him talking, took him on walks and took him out for treats which he loved. I felt absolutely confident in them. They were also good company for me. I was completely satisfied.

I have used their services off and on for 8 years. The caregivers are just as the word states, giving care as they would to their own family. Everyone in the company has listened, understood and been an asset to our family situations. The level of concern and knowledge has been stellar. I have found Home Instead to be very reliable and responsible. I have had no problems. The aides are always on time, are caring and are good cooks. The office is also very responsive to my specific needs and questions. I have had no issues and would highly recommend Home Instead.

Home Instead provides companionship for my husband, who has Alzheimers. All their caregivers have been wonderful. They are great at meeting my husband "where he is" , cognitively, and engaging him meaningfully. He loves their visits and his days are really enjoyable when they come. The staff are professional, great communicators, sensitive to both my and my husband's needs and have been very responsive to requests I've made.

Over the last 12 years our family has been truly delighted to have chosen Home Instead Senior Care. Their "Personal Care" is top notch. You can set your clock by the promptness of CAREgiver arrival times. Mom and Dad's CAREgivers always start their time with a relaxed 'sit-down' where conversation allows them to establish comfortableness and assess how Mom and Dad are doing and have been doing.
Caregivers have an appreciation for the needs of Seniors and in my experience are on the lookout for both potential dangerous situations and for ways that family might not have thought of to enhance the quality of Mom and Dad's life. Example: "A safety bar near the edge of the bed on the window frame might help Mom steady herself when she gets out of bed" If you have been there, you know what I mean.
I've found CAREgivers to sense when seniors are confused, uncomfortable, and vulnerable and that they take action either on their own or in consultation with the family to calm those situations.
We have found Home Instead Senior Care to be available and flexible when it comes to finding and assigning CAREgivers.

When our previous care service decided without notice to no longer accept VA patients, I called Home Instead and they started providing care immediately. It was a great step up from the previous company. My husband was complete care and bedridden. His consistent caregiver, Sue, was wonderful. I felt comfortable leaving him in her care while I got out of the house for a few hours. Around the house, she saw what was needed without my having to tell her what I wanted done. Sometimes I just needed someone to talk to especially as Steve’s condition got worse and Sue was a good listener. We were with Home Instead for about a year and they truly blessed us with every detail of care. I would highly recommended them

Home Instead served us for over 2½ years, providing assistance for my husband while we were in two assisted living facilities. Their caregivers became valued friends. The service they provided my husband was always professional and loving. The office staff went out of their way to help us with special requests.

When my husband was to return home after a hospital stay, I knew I would need extra help to care for him. I had no idea where to start looking,but I did remember seeing advertisements for Home Instead. I called the office In Bozeman and the coordinator visited my home the very next day. I told her I needed someone for 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the late afternoon 7 days a week. She said she would get right to work doing her best to fill my needs. Two days later when my husband came home, we had a caregiver at our door at 4:30. It was such a blessing to have a professional to help me attend to his needs. All of the people who came were very easy to talk to and help me learn some of the things necessary now. My husband also appreciated their personal care. Their professional care was especially helpful when he passed. My family and I were very pleased with and grateful for their guidance and help through extremely difficult time in our lives. I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone in need of services they offer.

Everyone is so kind and considerate. I had fired the first company I was working with and was skeptical. Home Instead went above and beyond to find a caregiver for my grandfather in a rural area and during a pandemic!
I am grateful for the communications and I love the Family Room App! I can hear and see notes about how the day went right from my phone. Home Instead made a very difficult situation pleasantly manageable. I am so grateful to all of them!

As my mother-in-law, Jean, struggled with the effects of cancer treatment last year she had a 3-week respite stay in assisted living. Returning home alone wasn't an option, and Home Instead Senior Care provided another path. As her health challenges have changed, Home Instead has been able to flexibly provide more or fewer caregiver hours as needed, including 24 hour care after a hospital stay, and then backing off the hours as my mother-in-law improved. The compassion and support from Home Instead managers and caregivers has been phenomenal. They have given Jean a level of dignity and independence at a difficult time, and given me the assurance that she has care and companionship when family can't be with her every day.

Qualified caregivers, responsive to needs, on time help. Caregivers provide us knowledgeable dementia care. They have been qualified caregivers without exception.The office has been responsive to changing needs. Fantastic caring people! Very responsive, performs duties in timely manner as scheduled, reports observations and concerns if needed. Has in house nurse who also conducts visits. Open communication always keeps you informed and asks permission to add or change anything. Their website gives you a place to dialogue with the caregivers as well has a calendar of scheduled appointments/activities.

The personalized companionship that the Home Instead caregivers provide along with the amazing support of their scheduling and nursing staff have been invaluable in allowing our mom to be comfortable, safe and happy in our home. The kindness and concern is real - in a most recent event that required specific and timely attention everyone from the caregiver to the support staff on the telephone were present and knowledgeable. All is well because of their attention and rapid, appropriate responses. We are thankful to have these fine services available in our community.

Home Instead is providing in home help for a Parkinson's patient in this household. We particularly appreciate the dedication they have in finding the "right" care giver for our situation.
Home Instead care givers and staff are helpful and always willing to do anything they can to be of help in every situation.
They do their best to find substitute care givers on the occasion day when our regular care givers cannot come in because of sickness or emergencies.
We are very pleased with our association with Home Instead and their staff and employees.

The November death of my husband of 63 years increased my depression to the point that the accompanying stress started a deep physical problem. Home Instead helpers now have me both mentally and physically alive. Maggie is so adept at reminding me to take timed medication, keep appointments, and a presentable home.

Home Instead has been a real blessing for our family. My mom and step dad are declining in health after my step dad had open heart surgery, a stroke and later a bad fall. They want to stay in their home and not go to a facility as long as possible. Home Instead is making that possible. They matched my folks with a perfect fit and they are happy and well cared for with love, kindness and understanding!

One of my mother's most important objectives of her golden years, to remain living independently, was accomplished thanks to the services provided by Home Instead. The care is genuine, the professional staff are dependable, which all appears to permeate from the tone established at the top of the Marchi family run organization. Administratively, the Home Instead office took care of submitting insurance reimbursements which saved us this hassle and stabilized mom's cash flow. The Mills family is grateful for this high quality solution for our private care needs and offers a confident endorsement of Home Instead.

I cannot tell you how much all the caregivers at Home Instead meant to my mom and I. Mom looked forward to being with them everyday and I knew that she was always in good hands.
