We have full-time, twenty-four-hour care from Home Instead Senior Care and so far, I've been very pleased with them. They have good caregivers, they try not to change them too often, and they've been responsive to any questions. I've been using them for about a month, and they try to send the same people every day. They cook for my mother, they do light cleaning, they're not a housekeeper, but they do keep her bedroom straight and the kitchen and den cleaned up. They also drive her to doctors' appointments. They don't do grocery shopping that I'm aware of, but you can get that added to the list if you need it. There are a whole lot of services they have, though we don't use all of them. More importantly, my mother likes them, and so far we've been pleased. They give her her medications every day. They have a master list of when she's supposed to take them, and they make sure she takes them on time. It's not inexpensive; it would have been a lot cheaper to be in a memory care facility. But she doesn't want to be in a memory care facility; she wants to be at home.

The service provided a caretaker for my husband at night allowing time for rest for me his primary caregiver. We can communicate with office by phone and then in person with caregiver who responds in a timely fashion to any needs we have.

The saying "You get what you pay for" has certainly proven true in my experience with this Home Instead group. We'd signed up for their services awhile back, but didn't really need them all that much. However, when we did, we needed them immediately. My mom's decline was rapid. Not only did they come to our aid immediately, they were instrumental in getting what we needed from other services. My brother and I would not have been known how to handle this without the advice, kindness, and experience of the coordinator and sitters. Knowing that we had the help of experienced people was invaluable. I have always found them to be professional, compassionate, and very agreeable to work with. Would I use them again? Most definitely.

Home Instead has been a Godsend for my family. My mother fell and broke her ankle where she lives in Mississippi, but my siblings and I all live in Pennsylvania. As a medical professional myself for the last 12 years, I can vouch that their customer service is impeccable. I was able to arrange care on a Sunday that started on Monday. The in-home provider is wonderful. My mother can't say enough good things about the help she's getting. Thank you to all of the staff who are making my mother comfortable and my life much less stressful.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Home Instead. It began with an interview with Keisha in which I was so comfortable talking to her. She was so reassuring and kind. We had a wonderful relationship with our sitters. They were all professional and compassionate. We formed friendships and I shall never forget. My husband of 43 was an Alzheimer's patient and died this past April.
