Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

Everyone isn't always equipped on how things need to be done and do what they need to do. We had a caregiver that came and wanted to do things her way even though I gave her a list of things to do.

When I first started having them, I thought about losing them. I am an amputee, and I don't like people in my home. However, I became more handicapped. They are really helpful to me.
My girl does whatever I ask her to, and she does it well. She is young, and if I don't like the way she does something, she will change for me. The other caregivers had serious attitudes, but this girl is very nice. When she first started, she forgot to bring something, and her boss drove it out here to her. I was really impressed with that.

I think it comes back to the main reason of helping to give her a bath. They don't have a consistent person. I have to show them each time how to do it properly.
I think that their retention rate for their caregivers needs to be improved. I have been with them for 4 years, and it is always someone new, which means their staff is turning over very quickly or they do not have enough staff.

We use Right at Home Mississippi Gulf Coast for my mother. All the problems I had with them were addressed and taken care of right away. They help us with minor cleaning mainly in my mom's bedroom area, and they're keeping her clean and fed. I get peace of mind having someone with her. I would rate the caregiver we have now an A+, but the one we had before I would rate a D. The one we have now is more sensitive toward my mother. I've had no problems communiating with them. If they don't answer when I call them, they typically get back with me within an hour or two. My impression of them might go up as time goes on, because I'm very pleased with the current caregiver that we have.

I would tell a friend that my caregiver is good at what she does. When I need assistance, she is there for me and she keeps a close eye on me. When I cannot dress myself, she does it for me. She is really respectful and kind.

I got along with one of the caregivers, but then she said that she didn't sign up for the housework I asked for. She was a good driver and took me exactly where I needed to go for my appointments.
They need to have a better understanding of what is expected. It was a misunderstanding of what my caregiver expected to do.

The Right at Home owner is a class act and her business attitude and etiquette is beyond reproach. She demands the same thing of her employees and I cannot say enough good about her. She leads by example. The services form Right at Home are exceptional. The caregivers come out and give me a bath four days a week and they do an excellent job.

We have been working with Right At Home for about two months now. It's been excellent. I haven't had any problems at all. They have a doctor on-call. The people they hire are all registered nursing assistants. They're all drug tested and criminal background checked.
