As a professional Firefighter/EMT, Joe Passantino has witnessed the need seniors have for home care while entering homes in emergency situations in the Kansas City area. Joe is a Kansas City native and as an advocate for the seniors in their community, he is dedicated to providing reliable, compassionate, and affordable home care for you or your loved one. He has joined the Preferred Care at Home team to bring this much needed service to the Greater Kansas City area in some cases as low as $11 an hour.

I recently found out that I could no longer leave my mom home alone. A nursing home was not the option I wanted for her. A social worker at the rehab facility she was at recommended Preferred care. I'm glad I called. They found 2 great caregivers to do in home care so my mom can stay at home. She likes her 2 new friends and they treat my mom with respect and take very good care of her. Such a blessing. The agency is there to answer any questions you have. They don't leave you hanging. I will recommend them to anyone who does not want to place their loved one in a nursing home. My mom being at home has made such a difference in her quality of life.

We have Preferred Care at Home for my mom. I told them right then that I wanted to start and they started on time. They come in four days a week. I usually have the food cooked so the caregiver heats it up and then she cleans up when she is done. She has come out every time and has been here on time.

Preferred Care at Home has been my first experience with in-home care. My caregiver has been very knowledgeable, caring and thoughtful of my needs. She is comfortable in my home as I am comfortable with her caring for me.

I hired Preferred Care at Home for my mother. Joe and Jodie are very easy to deal with and they will communicate daily,if necessary. They are very knowledgeable and will help you with whatever you need. The caregivers, are very caring and will do whatever it takes to make sure their client is happy and well cared for. I highly recommend them,you won’t regret it!

My mom was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia. She what not acting like herself, she was hallucinating, she wasn't sleeping, I was honestly at my wits end! It was taking a toll on me taking care of her 24/7. A family friend had used Preferred Care at Home and told me to call Joe. He would come out and go over our options. I met with Joe and Jodie they were so easy to talk to. They were very compassionate about what I was going through and most of all they weren't pushy. We Started 24/7 care for mom the next day and we only had 2 caregivers which was really great. They were outstanding, compassionate, and always treated us like family. One thing that really stood out is that when mom only had days left, our caregiver Mickie went out of her way to make sure that our family was ok. She always asked if we needed anything, comforted us and cried with us too. This agency made things so much easier for us. we got to be family again and not be overwhelmed by all the stresses of caring for mom.

My family hired Preferred Care at Home to help with my grandfather. They offered the peace of mind with the consistent staff. It was comforting knowing that he was taken care of. Joe was very helpful with all of our concerns and made sure we were comfortable with the entire process.
