About This Community
Home Instead is a non-medical provider of personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, incidental transportation and even Alzheimer's and dementia care. Our CAREGivers encourage, assist, and stimulate our clients in a variety of activities that improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence. All of these services allow a senior to stay HOME INSTEAD for a longer period of time.
Home Instead - Caregiver Skills
Safety training on home safety, avoiding injury and falls, preventing strain and pain, safety in the kitchen, cautious cleaning, safe driving, outdoor safety hazards, and disease protection and prevention.
Basic training on emergency situations including stroke, falls and fractures and sudden illness, communication tips including communicating to those with dementia or Alzheimer's, activities for seniors to engage in, mealtime preparations, housekeeping tips, signs of abuse, and tips on reducing caregiver stress.
Advanced training on understanding senior illnesses and conditions, depression in seniors, caregiver stress, in-home exercise for older adults, making mealtime fun, communication tips with the senior, their family, and the caregiver's franchise office.
Activity training including reminiscing activities, modifying activities, activities in facilities, adapting activities for those with impairments, different types of engaging activities for older adults such as gardening, mind builders, and crafts and hobbies, and getting a senior involved in the community in places like senior centers, worship services, volunteering and errands.

Communication is very important with your agency. Always have a back up plan in case your caregiver cannot make it.
Home Instead makes sure each caregiver that comes to our house Knows our history and what type of care and help and needs we have at the time.
Help with my husband each morning when he gets up and make sure he has a good breakfast, he takes his Medication, do the laundry and clean out the catheter bag.
Our caregiver usually arrives on time.
I’ve not had any problems when requesting services.

We went with Home Instead Senior Care - Springfield for my mom. They're really, really good, very nice, and easy to deal with. One of the caregivers I absolutely adore. She's hardworking, and she knows exactly what she's doing. The second lady, she's really new, older, and I ended up showing her what to do on almost everything, when she should know more about it, but she's good, fine, and a sweet lady. The agency is fine, good, and timely.

Home Instead provides housekeeping services beginning with my wife and continuing with me after her death. The workers are punctual, professional in both their work and demeanor. The office staff is always responsive sensitive to the situation or circumstances.

This agency is Great.
Care givers treat my mother like she is family.
I have had no problems with the staff arriving at scheduled time and if they are running a bit late I get a phone call from the office right away.
All the caregivers that come to my mom's interact with me to solve any issues..eample,.grocery lists etc.
I have no problems with the agency. Anytime I have reached out to the office always get help right away. They keep me informed if something is going on with my mom health wise.

We found Home Instead Senior Care for my husband and they have been great. My husband needs help getting around and going to the bathroom, so they help get him to the bathroom, visit with him during the day, and exercise with him. They come in two days a week for three hours each time. The caregiver is wonderful. I wish they were less expensive, but most of them are costly.

Although we only used Home Instead for a short time before my mother-in-law passed, I cannot say enough good things about the help and encouragement we received. The caregivers were wonderful and knew just what to say and do. I highly recommend Home Instead.

Amazing personal care. A genuine, palpable concern for clients and their families. Went several extra miles when father had medical emergency (broken hip) and I was in MASS and people stayed with my mother with ALZ, until I could get there.

I only have high praises for Home Instead Senior Health Care. The support we received from the Administration and staff was amazing. They always went above and beyond to provide excellent staffing and care. Any issues were immediately taken care of. Not only were they there to care and protect my mother, but they were also available for guidance and support. emotionally. The Care takers always made Mom feel special and really spoiled her at times. I am so touched that they have continued to visit her and send prayers our way. I will definitely refer Home Instead Senior care to others.

We have a caregiver for my father. My father really enjoys Donna's visits, she cleans well and heats his meals. He is always in a good mood with & after visits. At the office, Becky is always easy to reach and is always helpful for scheduling and duty changes.

After trying several home care services, we have finally found the best! The caring staff are always kind, courteous, and respectful to our mother. It is such a relief to know mom's needs will be met, and Home Instead has been very intuitive about her wants. She is in such capable and willing hands. We have used Home Instead for the past two years to allow my 90 yr. old father to continue living in his home. The staff (Becky in the office) and Teena (the home assistant) have treated him with dignity and were professional, helpful, and caring. We would recommend Home Instead to others.
