Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

They give me transportation to all of my doctor's appointments.
Sometimes, they get confused even when you've explained when you need a person at a certain time. The client knows the correct time, but it's messed up at the office.

Several of the people had little experience, they weren't really aware of things. One lady had just one day of experience.

We wouldn't have been able to get the surgeries done if we didn't have someone to pick us up.
I had contacted them and let them know where we were and when we needed to be picked up. The driver was there just on the other side. They never told us what the driver looked like, or what their car looked like. The driver's car was not clean. We stood there waiting for 30 minutes looking at the driver before we realized that was the driver.

It is a very sensitive field that they are all in and I am sure competition is keen. They deal with people ill at ease, so it takes astute and understanding employees and they have that.

It makes it a lot easier, it is more convenient, knowing someone is there. It takes a lit of stress off of me. There is a good comfort level.
We need around the clock caregivers, and we need more cohesion among the caregivers. We've had a few cancel shifts starting out.

We have hired Right at Home St. Louis Central and so far it's been good. They provide my father with some personal assistance and some travel help to dialysis. So far, the caregivers have been prompt. We have good communication with the agency as well. We started out with 12 hours a day and now cut back to 6. We have 2 different aides that come in.

He wouldn't have been able to stay at home without them.
We had a variety of caregivers, so more consistency would be helpful. I had a few issues where people didn't show up. I hired a company so I wouldn't have to worry about that.

The caregiver does everything for us.
A lot of the agency's people are fantastic, but some aren't that great. I've got to say that Right at Home really tries to work with me to get me good people. Although, when I first started, I almost left them because they couldn't get me good people. It's been about a year since I've first started, and I had 24 hour service. People would fall asleep, so I talked to the agency quite a bit about what I wanted. Since then, it's been fantastic.

I am constantly reducing my hours with them because I am not needing them as much. They say that they do light housekeeping, but then do not do that. I would like them to at least sweep the floors.
I would not recommend them. They could provide the services that they say they will provide.

I am very distant from them, but knowing they are being taken care of has been amazing.
The consistency has been amazing. They have had the same caregivers every time. If there has been issues, they take care of it without anyone having to worry about it.

My loved ones and I live a long distance away, so this agency acts as our eyes. We act accordingly to what the agency says because we can't see what's going on ourselves.

They only came for one day, but she did great. She filled out my schedule for two months, and I'm still using it. She also divided up my medication. She did a lot for one day of work.
I had a really good experience with the caregiver I had that day. I am thinking about doing it again. I didn't understand that I needed a nurse to pass me because aides do it all the time.

I was able to go home and get some sleep while they were with my mom. I would have trusted them if they were able to stay awake.
We had them during the night because my mom was on hospice. A couple of the nurse's aides fell asleep on the job.

On our first day with the services, we didn't have a nurse show up for their scheduled shift.
The company needs to make sure that their nurses are showing up when they are expected to show up. We had a supervisor come up and wait for a nurse to show up, but they never showed up. After that, the supervisor wasn't able to do anything to help us.

I'm relieved because it gives me a break from doing most of the care. I know there's someone that knows what to do.
They have male caregivers available and they are very punctual. I don't hear just from the CNAs, I also hear from administration if there's a problem. They all work well together.
