BrightStar Care of West St. Louis County and St. Charles is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make more possible for you and your loved ones. Our Joint Commission Accredited agency provides the highest standard of companion, personal and highly skilled nursing services. Our Director of Nursing supervises and coordinates all care we provide. Our caregivers and nurses are highly trained, fully screened and selected for you based on your specific requests and requirements.

They will make meals for the client. They have done some cleaning around the house. They help her get to the bathroom.
I get the sense that they don't pay very well.

They were really responsive and got people she liked to be around, and they stood up to her when she wanted to do things she shouldn't have, which eased my mind.
They were responsive and worked with us a lot to help my mom out a lot. One of the Bright Star employees told me she wasn't doing well and I should come home, so I was able to spend her last week with her.

It depends on the caregiver. They could establish some continuity once we get a caregiver we like. They need to try to use the same one as much as possible. I realize it is not a 100% probability but it would be nice.
I have not seen any continuity in terms of caregivers. I think since December when I started, the caregivers have changed every time the schedule changes. We do not know who to expect.

When picking the caregivers, we went through a whole bunch of people. They should have a better interview process to match people better.

They come here, and I don't have to travel far. Before when I had to travel, it took me forty minutes to get to the hospital.
I haven't had any problems, and it has been working out fine.

It's time consuming, but it's nothing against the company.
When the nurse came, she called BrightStar Care and kept getting put on hold. It pushed the treatment back by an hour. I like the nurse, she is very friendly.

They had pretty good caregivers. There was one caregiver I liked in particular. They couldn't supply me with some of the people I wanted sometimes. They were supposed to make it easier on me, which they sometimes did and sometimes didn't.

They were always on time. If there was a problem, I called in, and they came up with a solution. The service made it easier. I could go to the beauty shop and play cards with my girlfriends. It got me out of the house. I felt like he was safe with them. He has dementia.

BrightStar Care impressed me because they've been very consistent in their service, take care of problems that arise promptly, and they've provided us an excellent caregiver. BrightStar Care tries to meet all of my needs. I have a very good caregiver because she is very reliable and this provides me an opportunity to get things done I need to. I would tell a friend that BrightStar Care tries to please me and what I want the caregivers to do. I feel that life would be easier if BrightStar Care sent the same caregiver every time. It's hard to break someone in every day.

I would recommend BrightStar Care because they are fairly reliable, but there are a few issues within the industry. BrightStar Care seems to be the most reliable among other agencies, the caregivers are friendly. Having BrightStar Care has really made life easier because it allows me to leave and do what I need to do. It is nice having someone who is competent staying with my father while I am gone.
