Welcome to Visiting Angels Wayzata! Our locally owned and operated agency is pleased to provide compassionate in home care to seniors throughout Wayzata, Minnetonka, Hopkins, Edina, Rickfield, and Plymouth MN in addition to communities in Hennepin, Wright, Carver, and Scott Counties. It makes us feel good to know our assistance helps elderly and disabled members of our community maintain their independence at home. It has been a positive experience because the caregiver is always here early. She has established a routine and rapport with my mother.
I would recommend them because of the attention to detail they have. They are always asking if there is anything more that they can do.

The caregivers help with cleaning, meal prep, medication reminders, and doing some personal care activities with my loved one.
They have quality caregivers who are very competent at their work and have good communication with us so I'd certainly recommend them.

They're positive themselves. They're very attentive to his needs and they can recognize many different things involved with his ADL's.
They're very kind and attentive from scheduling to literally anything. Any of the positions from the owner, to the caregivers, to schedulers, to the nurses are good.

Depending on whom she had, she got good care and someone who would take the time to take care of her.
I like the one on one but sometimes they didn't adjust to my schedule and hard to get staff and the communication was not that good.

It's been very positive. When she's here, it's very helpful and useful.
This week, they've really dropped the ball. The caregiver was a no-show on Monday and Wednesday. I texted her and asked what happened. She said they took her off the schedule because her car broke down, but when I called them they said she didn't say anything. They can't find a replacement for Friday.

They keep her occupied in a good way. My wife is much better off with Visiting Angels compared to the time she would have spent with me. I need a little respite now and then.
They are compassionate, especially the caregivers. I think they are fine people.

Without them, when I am not at home, they help a lot! I get to rest when they take care of my husband.
We have had a few bad experiences. The caregiver was sleeping and she was not attentive when my husband was out of sight.

The most helpful part is being able to have someone there with the client around the clock to tend to their needs when a family member can't be there. Especially earlier in the early COVID-19 stages when the family couldn't go in at all.
A number of their caregivers are compassionate people and I appreciate that.

My mom was not sleeping through the night, and she was falling out of bed. I no longer am concerned about her.
My mom seems to get along with her aides. The management has been very responsive to getting the aids set up with what they needed to take care of my mother.

He needed around the clock care with everything. They were so helpful. I couldn't have done it alone.

My dad has dementia so I think he's a little unclear on who these people are, but it's not negative. He accepts their help. It's reassuring for my sisters and me that he's never alone and he's safe.
What I would really like is like a family portal or private space where everyone can communicate with each other, where my family members and I could input information about our dad and what his interests and needs are, so the caregivers can see. Because the communication's not as direct, it's more subject to misinterpretation.

I know it's challenging to find caregivers but I think consistency is important for the elderly. Having multiple caregivers has been difficult for my parents.

I would tell them that if they are looking for caregivers that actually care, then Comfort Keepers is the organization to choose. They are not in it for the money. It is more of a ministry for them.

They could improve the consistency. I like the people we have had. I asked for a couple days, and they called off and weren't one of our normal caregivers. If they call off, they should have somebody on call to pick up the shift.

The staff needed to be consistent. There was a caregiver that was not good for my parents.
They needed to improve the staff and the communication. They did not tell us when a nurse was not available. The nurse was not trained on medical management.

They should be a little more flexible. I know that they are running a business, but I had to cancel one time because of the bad weather, and I ended up having to pay because we didn't have 24 hours to give them notice.
