About This Community
Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

They help with things like making sure that he is comfortable. She takes him on walks and watches tv with him. She talks to him and is a good companion.
They are doing a good job so far. I am not sure what they could do better, we have not been with them that long.

My caregiver is sometimes careless with the cleaning. It's not always, but it's sometimes.
The woman who answers the telephone talks very fast. I can't get a word in and I can't express myself. She has an answer for everything, and she is always right. I am having problems with that. I don't like calling a place and having somebody be so negative and so domineering.

It was very helpful to know that someone was coming into the home when we weren't them. The problems we did have were out of the agency's control.

I think they did what I wanted them to do. We didn't have any issues. They made it positive by making sure she was there, by getting her breakfast, and checking in on her.

She came an extra day to help get them in when they got Covid. I don't live with my parents, so knowing someone comes in to make sure he gets a bath is extraordinarily relieving to me. They can get to an appointment if I'm not there.
We've been very pleased with the care. She's been extremely helpful with showers.

We're currently using Right at Home for my husband's care. They've been here three times, and I've been with them for three weeks now. The caregiver provides companionship, does light housework, and prepares his meals as needed. I have medications for him when I'm gone, and I've labeled everything, so she just makes sure he takes them. She doesn't administer them to him because I already have them labeled. She just tells him when it's time for him to take his medicine. She is also right on time. I have never had any problem with her.

They keep changing what we were told when we hired them. Before, they were just going to give her medication and be there for a half hour in morning and a half hour in the night. Now, we are getting charged for showers if she takes one and if they take her garbage out, which she has never asked them to do. They just to do it. We don't trust one of the people at all.
There are several people, but they are easily accessible. If I have a problem, they are easy to contact.

I am a very satisfied client of Right at Home, Lansing, MI. I only have about 10% of my vision and it all happened within the last year. I was very depressed and alone and felt very isolated. My two caregivers from
RaH have been a blessing. They take me to doctor's
appointments, shopping and even out to eat. They are
both very caring and have wonderful upbeat dispostions. They have really made a terrific difference
in my life. RaH is very easy to deal with and very flexible I think everyone with a problem that keeps them housebound needs a RaH caregiver.
