Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

My loved one is in a transition period where he didn't need a lot of help but now he might be changing to need more. They do get him to take a shower when he wants, give him food, help with grooming, and keep him company which is nice.
They have a high turnover of staff so we are really getting a lot of different people each time and the level of care varies a lot due to that.

It's a big help. There are busy stuff and medication reminders. There's companionship in the house. Because of my immobility, she does stuff I can't do.
I have a good relationship with them, and we are flexible both ways.

Right at Home provided home care services for my mother-in-law in Taylor, MI. We live out of state so working with their staff was a very positive experience. The aide took excellent care of her which was such a relief and comfort to us since we could not be there all the time.

The caregivers could have a greater impact if they had better care. Some of them have good care and some of them aren't that good.
They send different girls. Sometimes they get a girl that comes for a little while and then they send somebody else that isn't as good.

I end up doing everything myself, so there is no impact. I haven't been feeling well and if I am not willing to get in the mix of things they will just sit on their phones.

The medical side of it, such as medications has been very helpful to me because they measure it and administer it. That saves me a lot of time.
I have long term health insurance so when I pay right at home they are supposed to send the info to the health care provided, and then they put the money back in my account but there has been lots of times when they have not done this and it has caused problems with my finances.

With the pattern of not having people to come and no calls being made, they need to fix some things.
The workers call off at the last minute, and nobody calls me to let me know that no one is coming. There is a communication issue they need to fix.

There's a lot of things I can't do because of the type of surgery that I had. They take out my trash, lightly clean, do the dishes, and prepare the meals. It has helped me tremendously.
