Our elderly uncle joyously proclaimed the above when we took him from a lengthy hospital stay to help care for him in his apartment, closer to his family and friends. Remembering his words, my husband and I set out to create a home-care company that allows people to receive continued care in the comfort and safety of their home.
Because of our personal experiences caring for elderly, sick, and people with disabilities, we know how important comfort, respect, and independence are for individuals with special needs. Assuredly, loved ones find relief knowing family will support their needs in the comfort of home. Additionally, we realize family members require relief from their own care-giving efforts to tend to other important family matters, or perhaps to gain some much-needed rest. Hence, RELEVAR, meaning “relieve” in Spanish, was founded and our company’s success in providing excellent, affordable private duty services has established RELEVAR as a premier home-care provider.

They literally almost killed my father. Caregiver didn't know what a diabetic episode was, and thought giving him some soda would help after his blood sugar tested at over 300. Everything not tied down went missing at one point or another. Nothing ever got cleaned for him, and there were several times I would visit and there would be a pile of dishes in the sink. There is more than likely other companies to go with, so avoid this one at all costs. The management is non-existent, and it seems like the nurse in charge didn't know what she was doing a majority of the time, I'm not sure if they require an actual nursing degree for the position, but she was clueless. Most of the caregivers were nice that I met, but horribly trained and unprepared for what is expected out of someone who is in charge of caring for someone incapable of caring for themselves. The ones that weren't nice were legitimately scary, and we had to ask the company to never send them again because they made my father feel unsafe being alone with them.

I have been a client of Relevar since 2011 getting 24-hour care. I really like the care they provide. The caregivers are very good, and their nursing staff is awesome.

We just finished a run of 10 months with Relevar caregivers working with my mother, who was on Hospice care. It was a complicated medical situation, and we really appreciated the way Relevar personalized the care for Mom. They were responsive, flexible, and compassionate in their approach. Any time we asked for adjustments they worked very hard to quickly make the changes needed. On several occasions individuals went above and beyond the scope of what was expected in order to do something extraordinary and selfless. Relevar was also a terrific partner and complement to our Hospice service. There is a lot of coordination involved in a relationship like that, and the team at Relevar worked hard to make sure that Hospice recommendations were communicated effectively to the caregivers, and also gave helpful feedback to Hospice about what the day-to-day care of Mom entailed. We would recommend Relevar without reservation to anyone needing a top-notch in-home care provider.

I say wonderful. They are always available. These are the things I need to make me able to move about and be happy. They are courteous. I am very pleased with everything they do for me. I can see and do things that I normally was not able to do.

Absolutely outstanding company! Exceeded all expectations during the past 5 months of service. professional, responsive, compassionate, hard-working, dedicated aides. Could not be more pleased with our relationship. Could not recommend Relevar more highly.
