About This Community
Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

My dad has had home care through Right at Home in Brighton for 3 years. We feel so fortunate to have such stellar, responsible care providers.
They provide personal care, make meals, help with daily cleaning, drive him to social events, and provide loving company.
The office has been responsive and helpful with any question, need, or schedule change. Most importantly they know my dad. That connection is huge!

We are using Right at Home Central Michigan for mom. They help her shower, help her get dressed in the morning, and perform incontinence care. They were delivering meals during COVID, but now they escort her to her meals. They take her down to her lunchtime meal, they do her prescription medications, and they do wellness checks. They stop in and check on her to make sure she's doing OK. I know most of their caregivers on a first-name basis. They help my mom; she's struggling now to make phone calls, so they will help her dial a phone, and help her place phone calls. They all go above and beyond what their normal duties are. They all take good care of my mom. There are about a dozen caregivers working on three shifts.

Gordon recently came home from the hospital, after having a RIC line put in a serious bleed and having the line removed. David had excellent ideas for his care and his exercise program. The nurse for St. Joseph Home Care said David was absolutely right in his decisions. We don't know what we would do without his care.

We definitely need the help since they help my loved one as well as me after surgeries and with light help around the home. They also helped my husband get dressed and go to the washroom.
I had a problem with one of the girls, and we had to fire her. They do try to fill the spots you need, and I like most of the people that come here because they are helpful.

I don't have anything negative to say. Them being there has helped my loved one. I have the peace of mind to know that I will be contacted in any cases of my loved one's medical needs.

They are very attentive with their patient and he requires constant care, especially since he has a high fall risk and I can't always watch him.

Our mom needs some added assistance in her daily care routine, while living within her assisted living community. She is forgetful and needs reminders. Currently, the Right at Home staff givers her daily medications and a weekly shower assist.
The caregivers are all wonderful, kind and attentive. Our mom loves them and feels very comfortable in their care.
At times, we have had to contact the main office and have always received a prompt reply.
The services they provide are so valuable to our family.

The services have allowed her to live independently up until now, but it has carried her this far. Her memory is poor now, and she is going into a memory care facility.
I would share that the personnel that they hire are very caring and well vetted to ensure they are in the right business. I feel they are fulfilled in their jobs, and they seem very dedicated.

The caregivers were so great to help me when my loved one had doctor's appointments. They helped with therapy, exercises, and doing fun things with him. They fed him well.

They didn't take much time. They were too overworked with too many people. There were times when they would run in and do what they were paid for and then run out.

I have problems with getting things scheduled. When they say that something is scheduled they forget to do it.

Right at Home was very responsive to our families needs with regards to our mothers care. The care givers started with us several years ago as companion and aid to our elderly blind mother. Caregivers were for the most part consistent and the agency was able to change care (style/skill set) as requested or required. Staff were RELIABLE! Caregivers were pleasant, accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend Right at Home!

Our caregiver has been wonderful. Having a male caregiver for a male patient has been a real help.
They have been very good about accommodating the times that we needed someone to come to the house. A few times, we have needed to change to times, and they have been great about that as well.

Right at home provides care for my father-in-law five days a week, giving the patient his daily shower, shave, gets him dressed, assists him with his hearing aids, does his physical therapy with him, changes his bedding, makes sure he gets his breathing treatments, monitors that he eats a balanced meal, provides household cleaning and laundry, and cares for him so we can go to town for shopping, banking, and appointments. Our caregiver Charlie K. is an outstanding representative of your company. Each day she brings energy, enthusiasm and a bright encouraging outlook to her patient. She is very thorough, with great attention to detail. She is very dedicated to the tasks at hand each day. Charlie is confident in what she is doing, very safety minded, and provides a wealth of knowledge to the family. Charlie always arrives on schedule and immediately greets the patient. The agency is very prompt in response to meeting our needs.

We work along well together. She gives baths and cooks for me, and checks my oxygen machine tanks for me. She straightens my bed out. She waters my plants, too.
They need to increase the caregivers' pay. They are always on top of things. If there is a problem, I can call them and they will get back to me.

If my caregiver wasn't around, my wife wouldn't let me out of the house.
My caregiver is very cordial and we joke a lot. My wife has a list of tasks and she does everything. When I have to go to the drugstore, she takes me. I am very fortunate.

This company's philosophy of employing people who truly care about their clients was very evident to our family when our parents needed help recently. Everyone - from management on down- was genuinely interested in our parents and their needs. Compassionate and caring, they treated our parents like their own. I am particularly grateful for one of the aides, Mistry, who discovered my father's extremely low blood pressure. This discovery landed him in the ICU for several days. Time was of the essence and we believe the time and care she took resulted in a life saved. RAH was a blessing to us. I HIGHLY recommend them!

It is my pleasure to write to you about Diane, our home health aide. As the wife of her client, I am so relieved to know that my husband is in her kind hands when I leave for work. Diane is just the right amount of 'doing' without taking over our home. She lets Mike 'lead' what he wants/needs to do on each of her visits and helps him wholeheartedly. We have worked with 3 other companies before finding Right at Home and were so impressed with them. Very responsive, great caregivers and went above and beyond. They helped us out in 2 emergencies and even helped find a new living facility for my uncle when needed!

Jenny is wonderful for my 94 yr old mother. Jenny is cheerful, kind, efficient, concerned, and encourages my mother to join in daily activity. Jenny communicates with me making good suggestions for improvement (shower chair). I believe Jenny has enhanced my mother's health, safety, and happiness. Barry was one of the most friendly business owners I have met. His other client and caregivers could not have been more punctual and kind. Always flexible and willing to help in anyway. They worked closely with my brother to keep him active and engaged. They read to him, did puzzles and took him on outings. I don’t remember the last time his house was as clean as it is now.
