My experience has been positive because they are able to get her out of the facility, so she's not just cooped up inside. I like that it helps her interact with others.
I like BrightStar Care because they communicate well and they are very upfront.

She has helped us regarding my husband by being kind to him and respectful of me. She goes about doing her work in a friendly way and she doesn't treat us like senile old people.
I just like the contacts and the way everything was handled. I like the communication; if I have questions, they answer them.

It was stressful because we never had the same caregiver on Tuesdays, and sometimes we couldn't get anyone on Tuesdays. I had to plan on not having a caregiver on that day.
Some of it is out of their control, but we would've liked more consistency in staff.

We don't live close by and they offer personal care. They communicate well.
I love that they contact us if there is a problem or challenge. The client likes the people that come out. I have confidence in them and the fact that the client can stay in her home longer. It is better than we could hope for.

It helped a lot. The caregivers helped the most just by being there and helping the client with her needs.
With the COVID issues, staffing has been a problem for everybody and it took them quite a while before they could get me onboard and provide services. That was kind of frustrating. We needed it more immediately and it took probably 3-4 weeks before they could find someone to come. It was only a few weeks that we had them. We weren't with them for a long period.

We chose BrightStar Care Northern Michigan because their caregivers had a little more training, they were a little more vetted, were researched more than the other agencies, and they do drug testing regularly. My dad is happy with them. He thinks that the gal is quite good. She's doing what we asked her to do and she shows up on time. They help him with his exercises, meals, and taking him to his doctors' appointments.

At the point were she was at, there was not much more that BrightStar could do. It was just time for her to end the services. The interaction they had with my mom was hard. They would do games and stuff and they tried their best.
I do not have anything to add because it was such a short time. But, we were satisfied.

The plan of care doesn't fall on the family, the company takes care of the training and helps the aides to fluidly transition. It takes the workload off of the family.
I would not suggest anyone else. They are transparent and have information readily available. They are very accountable.

The value was that I was comfortable when they there and I knew that if there was an incident I would get contacted immediately.
I liked that I had a different person for night coverage. The caregivers just asked all teh right questions and I felt so comfortable leaving her with them.

I'm so impressed with BrightStar! Cindy, Stacy and Jessica went out of their way to help me find the right caretaker for my Dad and Cindy helped me find a rehab center when he needed one, and agencies for PT/OT/nursing. Everyone went way over what was expected. We're also so incredibly happy with our new caretaker, Sheilah. Overall, a great experience and so recommend BrightStar!

I would like them to have more consistency in the care. The caregivers only tend to last for a month or so.
They need to have less employee turnover so I could have a consistent caregiver.
