About This Community

We are your caregivers first...we are your companions forever.

Dignity Care is a Maine based and privately owned Care Management Organization. Our mission is to provide Maine seniors and their families with a 24/7 single point of contact in maintaining the highest quality of life for the client without the need for them to struggle with any of the hassles that are associated with that goal.

Traditional homecare agencies offer a piece of the solution. While we do offer industry-leading homecare support, we also provide complete elder care in Bangor and across Central Maine, including planning and transition support. Our primary goal is to facilitate an independent fulfilling lifestyle for seniors in the comfort of their own home. Yet, as we all mature our needs are continually changing, and Dignity Care is dedicated to being at your service every step of the way.

Dignity Care arranges networked coordination of care with your physician as well as organizing services from our network of top-rated healthcare partners according to your wishes. We give families the relief of never having to ask themselves 'what to do next'. We are a one-stop advocate to prepare that next step long before it may be required.

Consider us a guide through the confusing process of navigating the healthcare system as a whole. Be it processing paperwork, developing financial solutions, or simply arranging appointments on your behalf including providing transportation, we have your bases covered. Whether your needs include assisted homecare, acute medical professional care, or residential community living, we're your constant companion.

Very pleased with our worker, she always shows up with a smile on her face. My wife has MS and requires significant care. Our worker is very skilled and helpful in tending to her needs - she's practically an extended member of the family at this point. We also appreciate the fact that her supervisor checks in regularly to see how things are going.

About a year ago my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I called Dignity Care and got put right through to the head of the company. Marc was exceptionally helpful and compassionate on just the first hour that we spoke on the phone. After their regional manager in my area took the primary role in managing my mother's care team, Marc continued to check in to see how things were going. The caregivers themselves have been excellent, being very knowledgeable in Alzheimer's care as well as just generally good people who care about what they do. I look back to a year ago when I thought my only option might end up being having to move mom to a nursing facility, which I definitely did not want to do. I can't say enough how happy I am that I found Dignity Care.

We moved to Dignity Care for care for my husband so our worker could get a better pay. They said they would find another person, cover our workers time off, etc. Four months later, it never happened. They told us to look for someone else after I told them I had cancer and couldn't wait any longer. I called Mark on Monday and complained about their lack of coverage for us and that evening after 8pm, I got a call that said they fired our full time worker, there would be no one here at 8am the next morning and they were discharging us from the agency. 36 hours before cancer surgery. Needless to say I didnt have surgery this week. The worker did nothing wrong, was the best worker we had ever had and what they have done is criminal. I want to make sure people who put their loved ones in their care know what they are getting into. Lots more info if wanted.

Currently using Dignity Care to provide in home care (my home) for my mother, who has dementia and COPD. This is new territory for me and Marc and his staff have been invaluable to us. In the past several months, they have been there with support, information, guidance, and everything else we need. Always anxious to help guide us through this trying time. I'm far more confident, in my ability to provide for my mom's needs with their help.

I'm very satisfied with their services! I've had them for a couple of weeks. They come in and help me out with whatever I need. I would highly recommend Dignity Care to others. They're great!
