It's enabled me to have more free time. They're here for six hours so it allows me to not worry about my mom in that time.
They could provide more experienced caregivers. They could have more training before they go into the homes.

They have been wonderful. They work very closely with us to make sure the aides are a good fit. They were very good with being flexible with her schedule. We are very pleased with the company.
I like that they have been extremely helpful for my mom. My mom has had excellent care.

Some of the caregivers have been very rude.
With any home care, consistency is always it. They have sent us a lot of caregivers, and I feel like with so many people the proper care can't be done.

My father fell, and they have been helpful in just being there to help him.
This is my second time using them, and they are very responsive, and they were able to provide care for my father within ten hours of calling.

The caregiver that was not a good fit was extremely unprofessional and was extremely loud. She was rude and on her phone multiple times even though we asked her not to be. She refused to do what we asked her to do that clearly fell under her duties.
We had two spectrums of care. We had a really good caregiver and a really not so good caregiver. They need to have more consistency.

We only use them intermittently, only when my dad needs to go out. The most helpful thing is the care they give when he is out.
They are reliable and they go above and beyond in accommodating you.

It is frustrating on my life. There are a lot of no shows and no consistencies. It is not dependable but we have a few good people.
They could be more consistent, upfront about the process, and have more communication.

It was only two nights and my husband died 2 hours in after the second night. It was short period of time.
They were the only agency that I could get service from.

Jennifer is available to help, and the nurses are always able to help. If we had an issue, they called us back right away.
I have liked most of the nurses, Jennifer is great. Whenever I have a problem, they have been helpful.

We were caring for my father-in-law. It has freed up some time.
We are still pretty new. We are still working things out. So far, it has been great. It would be really cool if we could see 3 particular caregivers. It seems as if it is always someone different coming to the house.

The two caregivers I had from bright start helped a lot. They have made my experience positive by providing them for me.
When someone is not available, they had a lot of difficulty finding someone to fill the shift.

I did a lot of the care, but they helped us a lot. The first couple nights they stayed around the clock. The night time care was really helpful for us.
I like that the caregivers that they sent were just wonderful. One of the caregivers didn't show up but they worked hard to get someone to come for us.

It was a complex series of events, but they've been very helpful in helping my father. They hear the families concerns and needs and they go above and beyond to help their clients.
They've given me good nurses and they were always available. I was able to meet the owner and the scheduler. They care about their clients and the caregivers.

It's helped me because I don't have to be over there as much. For my mother it's been God-sent, especially during COVID, that she's had companionship when we couldn't go.

When I do speak to somebody and I explain the situation, they try to act on it and get it done immediately.
The people that are coming to take care of my mother are very caring and they seem to be pretty knowledgeable, which is helpful since I cannot do it.

I didn't have to worry about sitting with the client all day. The client was happy.
One of the caregivers had the client during the day. She took her outside and sat and talked to her. She called and asked what she could do. She did laundry and everything.

The people I called at the company, the scheduler and payroll coordinator.
My mom had a great deal of different aides coming to her which was confusing for her because she was foggy. It would be nice if they could have the same aide come.

The responsibility is on my mother in law's part as well. They could have had consistent reinforcement of who they are and why they are there, especially with early on set dementia.
The initial point of contact was great. Sometimes the response from the office was slow but I got everything figured out with my initial contact again.

It is convenient for her, because she doesn't have to be consistent with it. She can get to her appointments with them.
I like the fact that it is affordable for us to use in case they don't have family to take them to their appointments.

We depend a lot on them to have someone here all the time, and there are so many instances when things don't go right. I'd like a more permanent caregiver.
The CNAs are not trained enough. They need more training, especially the females who don't seem to know how to clean other females. It takes two people to get my mom up in bed, and it seems like BrightStar can't do it on their own.

The only thing they did was to be at home with my husband. Early on some people took him on a drive, but they stopped.
The main problem was the turnover in caregivers. Every day was a different person. They would promise someone and someone else would come. Some people barely spoke English. We saw many many care providers. There was no consistency and the price was extremely high, even the highest in the market for the area.

I need to do things at home, and when I am here, he wants to be with me. They are not doing much to engage him so that I can have time alone at home.
My issue has been that it has been 6 months, and we still don't have consistency. I have tried to make our schedule work so that we could have people come back, but they don't. My husband needs some consistency.

It frees us up from having to be the only ones who can take her out, and it alleviates us from having to schedule that time. We do other things with her, but it is a scheduling convenience for us. It makes her happy to go out, go shopping, and have her for four hours every week.
Administratively, it was easy to set things up for Emily. They are the only company that provides transportation.

I've had some issues with communication and follow through. I have a very stressed mom, and she is a tough customer, but there have been issues with care quality. I met with BrightStar to try to come to an understanding. They told me they were going to address it, but we had another blow up today. Mom is picky, but there are also issues with the company as well.

They helped tremendously when they were here. They helped me because my loved one was in a lot of pain and they all had a gracious attitude. They would help me with the laundry and the beds. It was more than I had ever expected.
