Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

We need someone who will move my mother forward to start her day and engage her mind by playing Scrabble or other mental exercises would be helpful.
The best thing they could do is find someone who can be here 5 days a week. Right now, we seem to always have 2-3 different people to cover the week.

The caregiver is very good. She takes very good care of my mom with her bath. Any little light work we ask her to do, she is never hesitant. My mom is very comfortable with her.
I like that they're punctual. When I reached out to them, they got right back to me without hesitating. The process has been smooth the entire time.

The services are great. It definitely improves my exercise regime. I like to be independent but I need somebody here with me or else I won't take a shower or cook.
For what I need, they provide everything I need. One of my caregivers sometimes spends a lot of time on her phone, but we are just sitting outside. It becomes a problem when I exercise because I would like her to pay attention more when I exercise.

If the caregiver calls out they have no backup. They never are consistent with backup. If someone is sick we are stuck alone for the day. That is the only problem they have.
I wouldn't recommend them right now because they have a lot of things they need to work on staffing-wise. Other than that it is perfect. They just really need backup.

I don't like people I don't know in my house, so temporary caregivers are out of the window for me.
It's frustrating that my caregiver is scheduled to take care of me one day, but if they have a client that pays more or has more hours, they'll schedule her for them.

We have been put in a situation where we thought we could rely on the situation. The client was left unchanged for way too many hours and way too many days. She ended up in the hospital several times with infections that could have very easily been prevented.
The agency needs to improve staffing and the ability for people to show up. They could actually set expectations for the people that they send. It's very difficult to get someone in to do any of the normal tasks that normally my mother would complete.

There was a marked difference between the first caregiver and the current one. As far as the current one, she is very professional and dedicated. She seems to be a noble person.
We have had two caregivers. The first did not seem qualified but the one we have now is good.

She is willing to do things that my mom asks her. She will even change a light bulb or lamp shade too. It gives me peace of mind.
The current caregiver is excellent. She just started. Before that, we had 3 different caregivers for a client who has dementia. That was hard for her to be comfortable.

You could schedule to have caregivers come, but the agency wasn't great at sending caregivers that were needed at the last minute.

I liked them. The caregiver I had was great. She ended up going back to school so she couldn't service me anymore and because of the situation with my mom and my brother, they couldn't find a replacement for her.
I didn't like the fact that they pulled out because of my mother. My brother is mentally ill and nobody wanted to deal with him. I lost the services because of my mother and my brother.

I can do stuff out of the house and do what I need to do to get done.
I am comparing the quality because of the hourly rate is very high. We need someone to be there, if there is a no show there should be a replacement.
