Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

Primarily, they get me to the bathroom and help feed me.
I like Karen. She is so helpful, when I need to get into the bathroom, she gets me there and it's wonderful to see her in the morning.

They could have a way to check on the aids. They write in a book what they have done but many of them just check them off without actually doing it. Some won't get her up in the morning.
Some of them get going right away. Most of the girls that come in don't really do anything. They need more training on helping to plan meals.

Right at Home was very helpful and caring. They provided help with grocery shopping, showering, cooking meals, and spending the night with our elderly father. He wasn't always an easy person to deal with, but they did a wonderful job, especially Mary, who spent a lot of time with him. We wouldn't be able to keep him home as long as we did without their help.

It's a difficult situation overall having your mom cared for. I don't know that there's anything that could've been done better by Right at Home.
I liked the quality of the caregivers and the office staff helped with scheduling and gave us personal attention. They were really easy to work with.

Mom needed support once my step father's health declined and we did not know where to begin. I called several services in the Worcester area and it was obvious right away when I spoke with Right at Home they were the best fit for Mom. They set up an intro meeting and she immediately felt comfotable. This is saying a lot because mom has ALWAYS done it all - for everyone - even at age 80+! Asking for help is hard for her. She has had someone come into their home for 7 months now and it has been life changing. Not only to help them through Covid times, but to help them manage everyday life so she can have a break. His care requires 24/7 attention. They really love their caregiver and look forward to her arrival. I handle all of the paperwork/billing and Right at Home has been very helpful and super responsive. They make it very user friendly which is important since I do not live locally and work full time. Knowing someone is there several days a week especailly now when I can't visit is so comforting!

One caregiver was exceptional. We could not have done it without him.
I could recommend individual caregivers, but I'm not sure if I would recommend Right at Home. There were times I left messages with questions about billing, and they would never return the calls.

The care for my father was excellent. He was not an easy guy to care for at the end, but the caregivers were very patient and kind to him. We had Right at Home for the last 3 months of his life and would recommend them to anyone in need of at home services.

Overall, most caregivers did a good job. Had 24/7 coverage for client. Overtime, was able to have provider agree to have two excellent caregivers to each come 3-day times a week, which made a big difference in the care and social interaction with my mom. Had some trouble at times getting good caregivers at night and with no shows as well. Examples of this: sleeping, passive complaining of caregiving. Overall, rating by high marks for 2-day caregivers.

They didn't do anything physical for me. They just provide companion care for me, and two of them took me to the store a couple of times. I might ask them to maybe come and do a load of laundry to help me more.
They are fine. All of this is new to me, and I haven't had the experience of doing this before, so I have nothing to compare them to. They were coming for a few hours in the morning while my family was away. They were more or less companions, and they took me shopping.

They could have trained their people better and had a less revolving staff. A lot of them has accents, and it was hard for him to understand. The owner or person who ran it was not easily accessible.
They could train their employees better. There was no continuity. There was so many people coming and going. Every time I had to retrain the caregivers. They never looked at the previous information. We had people that went outside and smoked, were on their phone, or fell asleep while they were supposed to care for my father

They have made life easier by handling my mom's hygiene and toileting so I can spend time doing other things that need to be done because they know what to do and do it well.
They have certain caregivers that get along better with my mother and handle her better, which I have expressed to Right at Home, but they don't always send the ones we prefer to us. The caregivers we like do an excellent job but the others don't.

I have to let you both know that I have been so impressed with the staff that helped my mom and dad this week. I called my mom yesterday and asked how she was doing and she answered "I'm doing terrific!" she sounded so happy - Katie gave her a bath and did her nails; helped her with makeup and hair and helped her pick out a nice outfit for a visit w my father.
I can't tell you how happy it made me and want to thank you and your staff for being so kind and attentive.
Destiny cooked so many yummy things for her in the short time she was there
Everyone has done such a wonderful job washing clothes and picking up/cleaning. It really saved me so much time today (b/c she was already showered and the house was clean - so I was able to take her to see my dad much earlier than I expected) Thank you.

They make all the difference. She would be bound to a wheelchair for the rest of her life. They make her mobile and take her out.

I've only had people come twice, but the medication I am taking is making me much worse and I already haven't been doing well, so I need them to come. It is helpful at the time they are here. If I need them, I can call. It is a relief across the board to have someone attend to cleaning up and organizing things like clothes. It's a relief for my husband too, since he has another job and has to take care of me also.
The people that have come have been very friendly, accommodating, and relatively understanding of the situation as far as what I can do, and the limits that I do have.

We only use them for transportation, so if I have a doctor's appointment or anything I call them up.
They were very very good with my wife. I made contact with them and they said they would be here at a certain time and they were very punctual. They were late once but other than that they have always been early.

It was a big help. They probably could have made sure the people were there when they were supposed to be.
I liked the people, but sometimes there seemed to be some confusion about who was supposed to be there. This was not often, but that was the main issue.

They are very helpful in providing showers and hair washing, and they also help me with the driving when I need to go shopping.
I would be likely to recommend them, but it really depends on the person who is sent out. Some of them are very helpful, but there are also some who are not as good or helpful.

Mary makes me feel better and that is a plus. I am no longer ill, but I am happy to see her once or every other week for errands or light housekeeping. I don't have to ask her to do anything. She sees things to be done and automatically does them. Give her a raise or award!

Their willingness to communicate needs improvement. We are frustrated with our request to limit the number of caregivers coming in and with getting consistent caregivers. They don't seem to be able to follow through with that request. It is pretty important to Joseph. Some of the caregivers are outstanding but some of them really need more training.

For the most part, the caregivers are dependable, and I feel very comfortable about caregivers because there is comfort and continuity when they come. My husband and I brought my mom to live with us a couple of months ago, and having someone there when I have to meet with my clients makes such a big difference to not worry about her while I am gone.

I would refer Right at Home to others because of the services I receive from the nursing director. The services provided by Right at Home help my mother by sending someone over to my mother to see her three times per week, without which she wouldn't have anyone to visit her.

I have had some rather bad picks as caregivers, but our current caregiver is great. The quality of caregivers can vary. Because of Right at Home, I can do other things. My loved one has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Our caregiver does housework and makes sure my loved one is well taken care of and gets a shower. They take care of their hair and try to keep their spirits up.

Right at Home takes my mom grocery shopping, helps her select good nutritional products, provides good conversation, and helps prepare healthy meals. This care helps my father free up time to take care of other things around the house.

I would tell someone that I think their representative is excellent, the care my mother has been receiving is good, I have no problems calling to cancel or reschedule, they really seem to know the business of caring for people well, they genuinely seem to care about the clients, and the only downside is that they are on the pricey side. The services are very helpful and give me peace of mind while I am at work.

You can only understand the hospice journey when you have to make it with your loved one. Lanette and her team know it well and she went above and beyond to help us through the difficult time of losing my beloved father. Each person that came to stay with us at my house had a special way about them that made me feel safe and comfortable doing things like sleeping through the night. Starting with Lanette, each employee is extremely professional and they truly love what they do. I can't imagine having made this journey with my family without the loving care of Lanette and her team to help us along the way. Highly recommend.

We had to place my mother in an assisted living facility. We did not realize how severe her dementia was. We had to have Right at Home take care of my mother for several weeks until we could get her in a nursing home facility with a Dementia Unit. Right at Home came in every day of the week for about 18 hours a day at the assisted living facility. My mother was scared and anxious. She never could have made through those weeks without the excellent care that was provided by the Right at Home staff. My mother is doing very well now. Thank you Right at Home for helping my mother and family get through those trying times.

After having used two other home health agencies beginning early 2014, I hired Right At Home In Home Care and Assistance, owned and managed by Lanette Duggan on January 1st 2016. I wish I had hired RAH from the beginning. By then my Dad was in in home hospice and my Mom had Alzheimer's disease. We needed 24 hour in home care for them. All of Lanette's care givers have been extremely caring and very professional and my parents loved them. Lanette herself has gone way above and beyond to help our family in a very difficult situation. I live in Colorado and it has been a great comfort to me knowing that RAH has been talking care of my parents in Massachusetts when I have not been able to be there. I strongly recommend the services of RAH to anyone needing in home health care.

I started using Right at Home in 2015 for my 92-year old father. Dad's long term care company recommended Right at Home. They have provided care for my father from 8AM to 10PM, 7 days a week. Their caregivers have all been caring, professional and reliable. Dad needed care 24/7 and Right at Home have been open and flexible with Dad's changing needs. I feel confident that he is in good hands.

We hired Right at Home after a terrible experience with their competitors. We hired Right at Home to care for my 87-year old mother who has Alzheimer's. Since employing Lanette and her staff, my brother and I can sleep at night. Our hospice agency has been very impressed with the care Right at Home has been giving my mother. It's been a Godsend.
