Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

The days of the week when the caregiver isn't here, I'm the one who's showering, helping him with the potty, and chores. Them coming gives me a window to do things that I want.
When the girl has to adjust her schedule, she lets me know a few days ahead that her schedule will change slightly.

It depended on who the caregiver was we had about 6 caregivers. The agency could have stuck to the schedule that he had and could have let us know when we were going to get a new caregiver. There were a lot of things that they could have done differently.
I would like to see consistent service like the aides that we got for my father.

The caregivers have done laundry for me in another building, they've done housework for me, and they've been very good companions.
I've had a good relationship with the office staff if I needed to reschedule or make changes. The people that they have sent have been very good in a tough environment.

I knew that there was always going to be someone there, but I wasn't always confident that the caregivers were knowledgeable. On a positive note, at first we only had someone coming once a week, but when we had a medical crisis and things started going downhill, they got someone for us when we needed them.
I would like to see them improve on continuity with care providers.

They're there for 12 hours a day, seven days a week, and since they've been there, my mom hasn't been readmitted to the hospital.
I appreciate the professionalism of their services, and I've dealt with many people in the Newton branch.

They're not great, but they're pretty good. There's a lot that I'd like them to do but it's outside their parameter. I have a leather couch and I'd love it to be clean and restored and there's a problem where he isn't getting to it. It's a bit reluctant.
The caregiver is doing a really good job, as best as he can. It's a hard job for a guy and he's done a lot.

The worker I have been with, even though the schedule has been changing, she has been wonderful.
I think I'd like to see better communication. It has been better recently but there were things along the way that were confusing. It just made things a little harder.

I was the sole caregiver for him, so I was able to step out and do some things while they were there. In the beginning, I had to be around and train them a little bit.
We had a very short experience with them. They were really responsive in finding an aide within a short time.

They are easy to work with. I am the healthcare proxy for a family friend who is 85 and has dementia. She forgets to tell me things, so there are a lot of last-minute calls to the office, and they always help out.

I called Right at Home late in the afternoon on a Friday when it was determined that my wife, Laura, needed to stay in a hospital bed on the first floor of our home. Very quickly, I was told that two people were available for Friday night through Sunday. Julia and Merna came and stayed all night with Laura, and they were superb, very caring, and compassionate.

When I have someone come regularly, it's better for me. It's easier for when I don't have to tell the new aides what to do. I can't do vacuuming, which they help with.
I have a hard time walking, and if the same maid doesn't come, I get tired. I would have her clean the bathroom. Some of the caregivers are not efficient.

She could not have lived on her own and they truly made her comfortable. They clearly hire people that can make someone as comfortable as possible at a time in life that it is easy to be dismissive.
The people that they sent here knew the job and they were quite compassionate. They did everything they could to make my mom comfortable in her last days.

They prepared meals and transferred him from the wheelchair to the bathroom.
The only negative I would say is that at times they had difficulty filling the time slot for the evenings. He had the same aidd the majority of mornings, but in the evenings it was a hit or miss. I don't know if they were short staffed or if it was because of the time slot that we needed coverage for. They communicated with us and did whatever we asked of them.

From Monday to Saturday I am very pleased. Sundays are very hard to fill, so they keep sending me different people who aren't familiar with the way we do things here. I've told the manager, and it works out well for a couple weeks.
From Monday to Saturday, I have a caregiver who is wonderful, but on Sunday, Right at Home can't send someone regularly.

The only time I am impacted by the services is when they don't come through. We are sitting here and they won't call until the last minute to let us know.
They have one or two aides that are exceptional, and the other two I would not recommend at all.
