We have Senior Helpers Boston North for my mother. They offer light cleaning and companionship. They will come and cook her meal. They're just there with her at night before she goes to bed to assist with anything that she needs like help her change, help her to the bathroom, maybe help her clean up, and things like that. We had this one lady, and she was phenomenal. She just clicked with my mother. I can't say anything but great things about her. She was fantastic.

The help from Senior Helpers Boston North is fine. They send me some young people who needed some training, but evidently they trained them to listen carefully and follow instructions. They're doing the heavy things that are hard for me because of my spinal stenosis. They do the laundry, load and unload the washer, they get small meals for me, and water the plants -- which means carrying heavy water. The girl that I have now comes in two hours, three days a week. She also cleaned the bookcases inside and out. She goes around and cleans whatever needs cleaning, like the mirrors and countertops and so on. It's really helpful to have them come in and do those things. I find that they are very good people. They are always here on the day they're supposed to be.

I came into knowledge of Senior Helpers through a friend. I was looking for someone to help my mom, as she was beginning to show signs and symptoms of dementia. I interviewed 4 agencies, but when I met the owners of this company I knew that they did something different from the rest. They cared, listened, and even brought the caregiver to meet my mom before starting the case. Their prices were great, their services was second to none, and my mom really enjoyed the caregiver during her time using them while I was away. My mom still asks about them, and when they are starting to come back again. I am going to start using them again next week for a few days just so that my mom can have that social interaction they provide so well.If you are looking for a provider in the Boston area, I suggest you call Senior Helpers, they will be available to help you the same way they helped my mom. They were even instrumental in helping to choose an assisted living community for me after it was time to make the move. Their transitional planning and services made this easier for me to do.

Senior Helpers exceeded all my expectations. They were the third home care agency I tried and far and away the best. Lois, my mom's caregiver, treated her like a queen. They became best friends. She could never do enough to make sure mom was happy and well cared for. Dealing with the office was always helpful and easy. Senior Helpers is the only agency I would ever use.
