About This Community
Visiting Angels is the oldest and most well respected private home care agency on the South Shore. Led by caring and compassionate Licensed Rehabilitation and Clinical Social Workers we provide comprehensive, individualized care to elders and their families. We take the stress and worry out of caring for an aging loved one who seeks to remain independent with safety and dignity.
Our services include, but are not limited to, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, companionship transport to doctor's visits, personal care including bathing, dressing and continence care.
You begin with a free comprehensive assessment of your needs by our Clinical Director. Guided by your wishes and needs, we help put together a customized care plan. This plan is reviewed regularly and as your needs change over time. Our clinical experience guides our choices in matching the right caregiver personality to your loved one. We go an extra step to help you determine if there may be state or federal benefits that you may be eligible to receive to cover some or all of the costs associated with care. Cost is managed by providing just the right amount of care needed with no additional or unexpected add-ons.
Accredited by the Home Care Alliance and licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you can be confident that we will provide you with the most compassionate and highest quality care available. Our caregivers are employees who are fully trained, insured and bonded. Through our ongoing training programs in dementia care, hospice care and personal care our employees have the skills you need.

My 87 yo mother , who lives with me, recently fell and fractured her wrist. As a result, I was unable to leave her alone in order to do errands and go to my own Dr. appts. At the encouragement of my family, I hired a home health aid for 2 - 31/2 hrs blocks of time during the week for a few weeks. I selected times that fit well with my needs. The home health aid is very sweet and enthusiastic. She gets my Mom to go for waiks and they have baked together. It has really helped me be more organized in my own planning for myself. I think my Mom is going along with it for my sake. Once she is healed and ready to resume previous activities, she has agreed to go out to 1/2 day Sr. Center Day Program. I need to keep the time for myself and she needs to continue to socialize with others. wish us luck!
