Our well qualified, attentive caregivers provide peace of mind to clients and their families. We work to understand the needs of our clients and provide a customized care plan to match them with a qualified, pre-screened caregiver who is compatible with their needs. Our Registered Nurse is involved with every patient and provides oversight to the caregiver on every case which provides better outcomes and better patient advocacy. Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a member of our staff. We are available to help you any day of the week from one hour to 24 around the clock care with no contract required.

Just because the fact that his disease is progressing it makes it hard for him to do anything and it has made a large impact on him. the overall interaction and clean up.
One of the reasons we didn't receive a call when something changed. We asked for the same person, and they said they would work with us. There were times when thing wasn't handled appropriately. We have more communication now.

I'm with him all the time, so it's good. Like I said, they do the three month check up. I follow the sheet on a daily basis to check his cognition.
I am working with Brightstar care to take care of my husband. They pay on time and the nurse comes every three months to check on him.

If there is an issue with a caregiver, they are on top of it.
Brightstar is always attentive; it doesn't matter if it's an emergency or planned, they are always on it

The big thing with him was just feeling like he doesn't have any support when I'm not there or my daughter's not there.
I like the fact that their employees are trained and they seem to have good people skills.

They helped the most by knowing that someone was gonna be here at night and someone was gonna keep her from falling.
I liked that people in scheduling and they were very helpful in our situation. They worked really hard to get me somebody.

They help get blood sugar readings which has been crucial because my dad's blood sugar has been way off. Having that consistency has been game changing.
I like the attention to detail. They leave notes in a notebook of my dad's care. There's a notebook with the blood sugars and being able to refer to that is helpful.

A lot of our caregivers just wanted to sit on their phone and chat with me, they never once completed their list of things to do.
They would not keep us informed when they could not provide us with a caregiver for the client.

They could have trained the newer girls a lot better. They sent one girl in who was limping, so I had to fix her up.
The girl we had was excellent, but when she didn't come, they would send very incapable people.

I feel more relaxed and able to get through the day because I know I will have my needs met. I can prepare for my evening needs because of them.
I haven't work in this business and this is the first time I've used this service. It seems to be difficult for them to get me a caregiver who is consistent. They keep sending me new caregivers and I have to go through everything I need every time.

We were trying to give my mother-in-law some relief with going to the hospital to be with her husband because someone had to be with him at all times, so we hired the agency to fill in some hours every day.
I feel like the agency has quality service, and we had some good caregivers.

They should come on time and not leave before the shift is over.
My caregiver is to be here from 9:00-1:00, and at 9:00, we got a call saying that she was not coming today because she had a doctor appointment. The caregiver should have been calling about this yesterday and the office should have been calling me and finding a replacement because today I was alone.

It has more to do with his condition. He alone cannot take care of himself. The company of others gives him conversation, and they help in fixing his food. Without that, he wouldn't have nice days.
If I call and ask for additional time or another day, they are more than helpful. They're very obliging.

The impact on my life was minimal since I was not receiving the care. 99% of the time, they did exactly what my sister asked of them.
Some of the caregivers were excellent, and some were average. The ones who were good were really good.

I would go visit her, and her house would be a disaster. I would spend more time cleaning than being with her. Now, I have more time to be with her.
They have good communication. I know it's hard for people and staff, so they have been communicating very well. My mom is also very picky, but she seems to like the caregivers.

She was trying to adjust to the care, and it was hard for to do so. It was very frustrating.
My mom has dementia, so we would like to have the same caregiver every time. We did not like that they would change the caregiver every week. They would be late and would make excuses.

It was a sitter service, and I don't know what they did. I just know one person was a lot easier to work with. He only had them 3 nights.
I think they had a nice representative in town who was helpful. I didn't absolutely love the first person that came, but I knew there was flexibility. I liked the second girl that came.

We have to have somebody to do general straightening up in the kitchen, washing dishes, making breakfast, and changing beds. Sometimes, my loved one needs help with dressing and checking if we've taken our pills.
They could send the same people and try to have a regular person. It takes me as long to tell them about what we want them to do as I could do it myself.

I think that on their end, they should have had a little more training. The person we had was brand new, and she was personable. However, didn't make sure to check in on things like taking word from my dad instead of asking her agency. She just didn't have a lot of initiative, and they should be taught to deal with elders.
They could've taken more initiative because the people they brought in would just sit and read. The description I had was that they would clean and cook, but they didn't take that initiative. My parents just saw people sitting around.

It was so inconsistent and they couldn't be relied on.
The whole time they worked with me, they were on time maybe twice or three times. I had a year of dealing with them and they were never on time. They never sent the same caregiver twice when they said they would. One of the caregivers left my mother alone and I've been overcharged for when they weren't even here.

Part of the problem with the services is that my expectations aren't the same as my mom's expectations. My mom is uncomfortable with the constant turn over of caregivers. The last person who came didn't clean very well where she is supposed to clean. There is someone else there with my mom, so the socialization is good. Laundry has been done well a few times.
The very first person they sent hadn't finished the paperwork, and she hasn't come back and I don't know why. The communication isn't very good. I asked for a phone call a couple times and none came. The person who communicates the best is the one that oversees things on the weekend. It isn't the same person so it is really hard to let them get to my mom where she lives.

I have had excellent care in the past, but recently I don't feel like BrightStar Care has treated me with respect. Some of the caregivers tell me they feel they should be paid more. Since I can't drive, the caregivers take me to the store. I hate asking for help, so it is nice to have people help me without me having to ask.

We were visiting there when my mother got hurt and only used them because they were there. If my family that lives there needed them, then I would recommend them. They were able to provide an assistant to be with my mother for Christmas Eve and Christmas night when I was tired.

The only problem I am having isn't with BrightStar Care, but with the insurance policy I have to pay for their service. Because of my policy, BrightStar Care can't do a lot for me. They can't drive me anywhere or do any washing. However, I have liked all the people that have been here from BrightStar Care. The caregivers are nice and I've met a lot of them. Maybe about three of them are my favorites and I would like to have them back. I think BrightStar Care has done a very good job. BrightStar Care can't do too much for me due to the insurance policy I have, so I can't hold that against BrightStar Care.

I would recommend BrightStar Care because of the caregivers that I have had. They've been very nice. I couldn't be any happier than I am with my caregiver. We have so much in common and she drives me anywhere I want to go. BrightStar Care has helped because it's the only way I could go anywhere.
