Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

I have three floors that I can't get to, so I have to have someone do those chores. I can do a lot of things myself, but it helps me, for sure.
It is the only one I've had. People get sick and are gone. They do wash for me usually. I like the person I am supposed to have now. I just don't like the caregivers changing around.

The caregivers have helped the most by just being there. My wife has dementia and she is also very sad. At times, she has panic attacks. I am a full-time attorney still working and I just need somebody to be with her. It has made a huge difference in her attitude and I feel better that I know she is safe. It gives me reassurance that she is okay.
I like the fact that they work with me. There was one time when I told them late about having a change because I didn't need them for a day. They were good about that. They have been flexible and I appreciate that. They have also had good people.

It really wasn't their fault. There are just too many people needing the services, and too few people to fill those slots. We would often be called (sometimes literally) at the last minute to be informed of a caretaker that couldn't make it.
Their caregivers, overall, were more mature in age than the ones we had used previously. We really appreciated that, as it made them much better matches for mom.

I have hired Right at Home Overland Park, KS for my wife. They have been with us for five weeks now. I have three CNAs that are on different schedules to fill in after the private caregiver goes home. The private caregiver comes in from 8 to 4, and then the agency comes in from 4 to 8:30 p.m. 6 days a week.
My wife is incontinent, so they help with dressing her, they help with bathing her, they help with transporting and moving her if we go to the doctor when someone goes with me to make sure that we have two people when we're transitioning her. She has lupus, arthritis as well as dementia, so she's not very mobile.
Right at Home was recommended by my Caring.com, and so I interviewed them and two others and I chose them. They're very experienced and they know what they're doing. I feel that my wife is in safe hands. The scheduling I'm not thrilled with, but they're doing better than the other two would have done. I didn't meet the caregivers before I chose them, and they've sent three very excellent, well-trained people.

I thought that it was a little expensive and it was hard to get things started, but their service was outstanding. It was a very lengthy process to get it started, there were a lot of forms. I was in a hurry to get it started and it took weeks.

They just quit on me, which is very upsetting. They just stopped coming after my caregiver for two years told them she did not want to come back, I thought everything was fine before that.

Dad was very picky. He did not like most of anyone. He did not like them going through his stuff or picking things up. So I had to be there for most of it. Except for Madison. I had one lady who came and just sat here and read the whole time and it annoyed the crud out of me and dad.
My experience varied. Some of it was good and some was not good. The last girl that I had was awesome, I would give her a 10 across the board. Most of the rest of them were not so great.
