Mom was concerned about having someone in her home. We told the providers that Mom and Dad do not want companionship. They just want help when they need help. We setup a bed, tv and a chair in a spare bedroom with an inexpensive monitor. Mom would ask for the caregiver to come. Dad would just pound on the end table and they knew. All the caregivers were compassionate and helpful. Of course, Dad has his favorites. We started with overnight care and moved to 24 hours care. There were with us until dad passed and helped with all of those end of life events. We chose to have hospice from another company to have different people come to the house with different functions.

The team who cared for my grandfather was amazing. We had very unfortunate circumstances and Home Instead stepped up to the challenge with such professionalism. We met some amazing caretakers who have become really good friends of ours.

Home Instead are very good. My mom needed light housekeeping; she came in to clean and vacuum. If mom needed to go to a doctor or groceries, she could do that for her too. The caregiver only came once every two weeks, and she is very good. She is always positive and bubbly; I am really happy with her. The management came out, was very informative, and told us about everything. They informed us about the payment options too.

We have had a very good experiences with Home Instead. My mother is 92 now and loves living alone. Without Home Instead, this would be very difficult even though I live very close and watch over Mom a lot. With Home Instead I can go to work without worrying about Mom falling or not being well-kept.
