Description

About This Community
The Home Instead family was developed with a passionate desire to be your trusted source in helping your family keep your aging mother, father, grandparents or friends in their home as they grow older.

It's that simple. This is all we do and because the home care services your loved one or friend needs must come from someone you trust locally. At the Home Instead we are passionate about exceeding the needs of the elderly in our community. We're not a giant corporation run from the top down - we're a community-based, friendly and responsive office right here in the community since we opened our door in 2000.

Today, many relationships are formed daily through CAREGivers who provide home care help to clients and their families who desire assistance with activities that used to be simple.

No matter where seniors live, in their home, in assisted living facilities or even nursing homes, Home Instead is currently providing thousands of hours of senior home care services annually to the elderly in our community.

These senior home care services may include assistance with trips to the doctor, reminders to take the right medication at the right time, bathing and grooming assistance, help with incontinence care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, shopping and even Alzheimer's care. We can provide service 24 hours a day or just a few hours a week and tailor our service to meet your or your loved ones needs.

Home Instead Senior Care helps out with personal care, meals, cleaning, and vacuuming; just general home cleaning for my dad. They're also available to run errands or to take him to doctors' appointments. That's something they can do either with his car or their car. The caregivers have been great. They're always available for him, they're very caring, and they leave good information for me. I write them notes about things that I'm concerned about and they always respond with how it went. I think their company has a policy that they should leave notes anyway. I'm satisfied with this agency. The director, the person who came out and talked to me before we started, he would drop in and supervise occasionally to see how people were doing. When someone was new they would introduce that new caregiver. The administrator would come and help the new caregiver adjust. Emily is one of the case managers I've dealt with the most. When there's a concern, she talks to me and makes some suggestions. For example, sometimes Dad wouldn't take his pills so we talked about what to try and do and how to get him to take them. She's very proactive.

The office staff is very professional but they show that they care for each for me as an individual and that they care about what needs I have. They realize that I am a human being and I just had a few bumps in the road to put me where I am now. The individual actual caregivers, have overall been very nice but still professional and caring to know that I have certain needs and being in a wheelchair it's different for them to put things away then it is for me. But they do this very wonderfully. It would greatly help if any staff member from caregivers to the office staff that they all remember we used to work we used to be out there doing things and now we can't do things. It is hard for us to ask for things. Please remember this. When you have a client who is permanently in a wheelchair you need to think about what happens when you're not there. Does that client do some things on his/her own? Make sure your client can get to the things wanted without a problem.

We hired a caregiver from Home Instead for my brother. The agency was very responsive, helpful, and flexible. I think the only downside is that they didn’t have a lot of CNAs. We preferred that they have more CNAs available. The caregivers were timely and very supportive, though.

I had hired Home Instead. The care and services they provided were OK. The doctor and the nurses came. The caregiver came once a month. I used them some 2 years ago. The caregivers were very good. The agency's scheduling and billing processes were very good.

My mom used other agencies to help her care for her husband and was not happy until she found Home Instead. Home Instead never let her down, and when she needed assistance for herself she hired them as well.

Home Instead provided great caregivers for my mom for the past 2+ years. Any time that we needed more care for her, the office staff was professional and very understanding and they quickly responded by providing a caregiver that was a great match. All of the caregivers were very compassionate and caring towards my mom and every member of our family. I can't thank Home Instead enough for everything that they and their caregivers have done in providing my mom with such great care! Joanne B.
