Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

Have one person fulfil the shift instead of having, so many fill the roles. It would be nice to have at least two or three covering everything for the two weeks.

I just have someone 2 hours a week and mostly she does things I could do but, it is a little more difficult for me. So it does make things easier.
I haven't used any other service. It varies by the people that they send out. Maybe better training.

They make his quality of life as good as it can be he suffered a stroke and they get him up and shave him and they do what they can to him which is too hard for my mom.
I think number one they are very dependable they are here on time and they are very compassionate and they are quite considerate to my mom at the same time so I don't think you could ask for more.

Having Right at Home around is very nice. They help me out with everything. For instance, they help me get up when I have fluid retention.

It would be difficult for my husband and I if we didn't have this agency for the extra support help we get from Margaret who is the caregiver that is here most often. She is usually here 3 days a week.

He is a harder patient, as he doesn't like to do lots of things. He mostly likes to be quiet and keep to himself. Yet they continue to talk to him and encourage him to do different activities.
The personal attention that they give is great. They really care about the individual and their family. Whenever I call they always call me back immediately. They have come out and done inspections and have assisted me with any concerns

I didn't have to say anything to the older caregivers, they were excellent. The younger ones were on their phones until I asked them to do something.
The first caregiver was supposed to be here by 8pm. The first night she wasn't here until closer to 9, and then she went outside to take a phone call while I still needed supervision. I was tired of sitting in my chair, and I had to go tell her that I wanted to move, and she said she needed a break. That was not explained to me. She left before my nurse came to get lunch.

I am receiving good care. Some of the things that I cannot do and they take the time to do it. I have lived alone for 30 years and there is one girl that is a little slower to catching on in what I am used to.

They are very willing to have the same person come for the three days. It's definitely something my husband needs, and it gives me a break because I care for him the rest of the time.
One of the things that I like is that they are very flexible if I have to cancel for a doctor appointment. They are very willing to try to get someone to come on another day. They are conscientious about the right fit between the caregiver and client.

I like that they have given me the same caregiver for the past 2 years. I wouldn't like anyone to switch anyone around on me because this is excellent. She was also able to think of things quickly to do things for me, that I had not even thought up yet. She is always on time, and when she was not, it was because of illness.

My mother had vertigo that required hospitalization. After leaving the hospital, she needed 24 hour care (two 12 hour shifts) until she did better. My mother wants to be independent, but we needed someone to be there until she got better and gets checked out by the her primary care doctor.
In doing so, we greatly appreciated the diligent care given to my mother by Right at Home North Suburban Chicago. All who have come have done a good job. The 24 hour care was very successful.
We will leave it up to my mother as far as how much help she needs going forward (and give her space to decide whether she wants to be alone), but we know that RAH is available to help us to do what we can to support her.

It's really difficult to say the impact. It's a small house, and having a male stranger in the house is a little difficult, but it's something I have to do.
They have pretty good caregivers. The one we have now has been very good. I like the billing, unlike other companies that have billing that is hard to understand. That's a big reason why I switched to Right at Home.

I don't think that Right at Home is ethical and I would never refer them to anyone. They double bill and the owner is not genuine. I am very offended by the owner and the way he runs his business. Right at Home was not monitoring the care properly and we were being charged more than we should have been.
