About This Community
1776 Senior Care's mission is to provide independence for seniors and peace for their families. We have core values that guide all of our work from the office to our caregivers. We maintain positivity at all times, we focus on transparent, honest communication, we show compassion in everything we do, we are proactive, and each of us is a team player. We think of ourselves as a concierge, hyper-local senior care service that strives to serve more seniors each day.
A major initiative for us is veteran care. Our caregivers receive special training in caring for our nation's military heroes. Any veteran who needs care will get help through 1776 Senior Care, and often we will help them receive free care.
1776 Senior Care wants all our clients to safely, happily, and healthfully age in place. They should enjoy their life, and families should never have to worry about their mom or dad, so we make sure they never do.

I can’t tell you how grateful we are to have found 1776 Senior Care for our Mom. Their outstanding care, compassion and kindness have been so appreciated by me and my siblings. It’s given us peace of mind knowing that she’s well taken care of when we can’t be there. Their follow up and communication is impeccable and they’re always willing to work with our needs/schedules providing the very best care givers for our Mom.

Our Mom has Lewy Body Disease and needs someone with her at all times. We tried to take care of her and our Dad ourselves but needed help taking care of them. I called 1776 Senior Care and they have sent someone who takes wonderful care of our Mom a couple days a week. Our parents were worried about having a “stranger” staying with them but the helper they sent is wonderful and our parents love her and feel safe with her in the house. She is so kind and takes great care of our Mom. She is on time everyday and comes in with a smile. We have had to add extra days a couple times and Senior Care had someone there every time we needed. It is wonderful to have a company you can count on!! Thank you, 1776 Senior Care!!

I called Carissa and was in desperate need for my father-in-law. She answered the phone and explained how the company works and we set up a meeting for the next day. Not only was Carissa prompt, but put my in-laws family at ease. She had a sitter for us the next day that would work with a hospice patient. The most reassuring part was that the person coming was trained specifically to care for hospice patients. 1776 Senior Care was exactly what our family needed. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

My mom was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease which attacked her muscles. She required 24 hour live-in care because she was unable to take care of herself. 1776 provided amazing caregivers who were professional, kind, encouraging and supportive. Carissa was responsive and helpful to our changing needs. My mom is especially fond of our current caregiver, who accompanies her to doctor appointments and keeps her organized. Highly recommend!!!

I cannot begin to express my gratitude for everything 1776 has done for my mom. From the intake appointment Carissa was a kind and compassionate listener and found a caregiver that my mom absolutely adored. Latasha treated her like her own family. She drove my mom to doctor appointments, helped with household chores and provided much needed companionship. She has become like a family member to us. The agency has been so easy to work with and accommodating with my moms various scheduling needs. This agency is everything a family could hope for, and at all times we had peace of mind knowing that our mom was being cared for. Truly an exceptional agency to work with and we highly recommend them.

Our experience with 1776 has been extremely positive! My mother was in need of additional home care, and it has been a great fit.
Carissa was extremely thorough and professional at the introductory meeting, and was able to find a fantastic caregiver match for my mom.
Pat has been incredibly patient and empathetic with my mom. She is always on time and ensures that she eats healthy meals; is bathed safely; takes her medicine; and plays mental games too. She even made time to walk to Dairy Queen with her!
Nat has ensured that all the invoice billings were timely and accurate.
I would highly recommend 1776 for anyone that has a loved one with home care needs!

My wife has Parkinson’s. We began using 1776 early May 2022. They have been outstanding!
We’ve had several caregivers and all have been professional, super nice, and also excellent at helping my wife.
1776 has been very responsive to our requests and scheduling changes. All the caregivers have arrived on time, except for 1 blip which they fixed.
We have been particularly impressed with Riley…..she has formed a wonderful relationship with us and is outstanding.
We highly recommend 1776!

My husband is disabled and I am recovering from a broken back. We have a caregiver every day for 4 hours. While everyone has been great, Jennifer stands out. Not only does she do everything needed, including taking care of my cat's litter box and walking our dog, but takes the time to talk to us. We rarely see anyone any more so it is a treat to talk to someone who is not only friendly but well informed and interesting. She took me to get my booster shot and it was so fun to be outside and with people. Without her we wouldn't be able to go. Uber won't go into the store and get an electric cart for me.

Mom needed help only several mornings a week and needed someone flexible, something alot of places advertised but couldn’t deliver. The care givers have been great, flexible, AND reliable. Mom became comfortable with them quickly- and I had been needlessly very worried she wouldn’t. I’ve never had trouble getting ahold of the office. I highly recommend 1776.

From the very first call, 1776 has been incredibly responsive to our every need. They lined up 24 hour caregivers on short notice. They are regularly in touch, easy to reach and quick to address any question or concern.
After joining us to meet with hospice, they created a detailed care plan for all the caregivers. The 1776 website provides a login to see a calendar of who is coming, along with notes from each caregiver during/after a shift.
We really appreciate having a small, regular team of dedicated caregivers rather than a rotating roster of strangers. Everyone has been caring, trustworthy, helpful and professional.
I am thankful we found 1776 and would recommend them to anyone.

We're using 1776 Senior Care. The caregiver helps my parents around the house, like doing projects. She helps them with the computer and helps them with shopping and appointments. Right now, they're doing good and my parents like them.

I am so grateful to 1776 for the wonderful care they provided to my beloved mother as she transitioned . They were professional, attentive, prompt, knowledgeable, and amongst all, very comforting. She loved interacting with her caretakers, as did I. The bedside talks, movie watching, teamwork, handholding (safely, of course), made my mom feel loved and well taken care of. I loved the Family Room where I could check in on the caretaker's notes, see who was on the schedule, check payment status, etc. - that was really helpful! Another plus for any pet lover - they were so open to working in a home with two big, senior dogs. It was such a blessing that my mom's dogs could stay by her side.
I would (and will), without reservation, recommend your company to my friends and family. Thank you for all you did, I will never forget it! Much appreciation to you and your wonderful staff.

This organization was absolutely wonderful. My mother’s health significantly declined within a couple of weeks and ,therefore, her care needs drastically changed. They not only got everything covered, but worked with very short notice to put the necessary care schedule together. Every caregiver that we had was outstanding. They made a conscious effort to match the best possible people for her needs and each caregiver made a point to get to know my mom and her preferences. It is not easy having a parent decline so quickly and need daily assistance, but they helped put my mind at ease with her daily care.

I have been using 1776 Senior Care since last October. My caregiver helps me with many things. I have her 5 hours a day and she gets my night meal ready before she leaves. She makes my meals, she buys my grocery, she does my laundry, she gets my medicine set up, she picks up my medications, and she takes me to the doctor. At this time, it is hard for me to get up and down, so when I go in to wash my face in the bathroom for example, she has her hand on my back because I have bad balance. My caregiver is fantastic. They're a good agency. I highly recommend them. They have been wonderful. The agency is easy to deal with. I have been very impressed with them and I like them.
Needed Help

We needed help quickly and 1776 was able to get a caregiver to us the next morning. Their staff arrive on time. They help with client transfer, mobility assistance and personal care. They also help with housekeeping and laundry as needed. The caregivers are respectful of our home. They are friendly and seem to enjoy their work. We feel comfortable having them and and are grateful for their willingness to assist us with whatever is needed. The 1776 case managers have been very helpful in creating a schedule with caregivers that are a good match for our situation. They are willing to answer questions that we have and have been easy to work with. We would recommend 1776 to others looking for caregiver assistance.

I use 1776 Caregivers to be with my aunt who needs someone with her all the time. We began with 1776 a few years ago when the need was only a few hours a day. I live far away from my aunt so I don't see the Caregivers frequently, but I have met some and I get feedback from the other residents where my aunt lives. Every Caregiver I have meet seems caring, and competent. My observations are also that they are extremely responsive and attentive. Comments from my aunt's fellow residents have all been very positive, some glowing. I, personally, interact with 1776 more through the office people and I have to say that they cannot be more responsive and helpful, providing good communication and flexibility. I have never felt like I had a complaint. Thank you.

We have used this service for a couple of years twice a month from 9-5 during the day to take care of my disabled husband while I run errands. All these providers have done a good job with him, generally engage him, and I have been confident that they will keep him safe.
I also used this service while during the time I had a surgery (one over night) and during my rehabilitation on a live-in basis for a little over a week. There were different care takers. All were good care takers for my husband and helpful to me. Not all of them were as good at making our meals, but they were adequate.

Carissa and her team of caregivers are exceptional. I was in an emergency situation with my father and very quickly and unexpectedly needed 24 hour care for him. They instantly came out to assess his situation and needs. Both the assessment followed a schedule of care was put together within a day of me reaching out. I was so impressed and more importantly, I had complete peace of mind that my father was getting the attention he so badly needed. To my great relief, within a day of their care, my father improved substantially. Everyone that my father and I interacted with were engaging, on time and incredibly helpful. I highly recommend 1776 Senior Care.

If I had a loved one in need of home care I would feel 100% confident in 1776! My current experience with the team at 1776 has been nothing but professional and caring. You feel you are "home" with 1776 and part of the family. They come with years of experience in nursing and senior care and truly listen to the needs of those they service. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. This is a team you can trust.
