Morning Glory Homecare, Inc. was established in 1998. We are a family owned, independent agency, that provides clients of all ages with quality non-medical home care services. We are licensed, bonded and insured, and serve Madison, St. Clair, Macoupin and Jersey Counties in IL.
Whether it be minimal weekly assistance, or 24 hour daily care, we can help. Our goal is to help our clients live as independently as possible. We keep seniors safe, comfortable and happy, wherever it is they call home. If you can’t do everything you want to do for yourself or your family, we know how that feels. Let us take some of the load off of you. Our goal is for us to become part of your family and you to become part of ours.

I need help around the house and with doing chores.
It depends on the type of service they need. They are geared more toward health care. I felt like I had to boss them around.

When I started with the company about 3 years ago, as most people would probably be aware, it'd be an uncomfortable situation at the beginning having someone brand new come in that I wasn't used to yet. Now that I'm used to it and their policies and procedures, it's a whole lot easier. The caregiver cleans the apartment well and having someone come in and do it for me on a regular schedule makes it easier, especially when they understand the routine.
Their caregivers do show up fairly regularly, and when they don't, usually I'm notified a couple of hours ahead. I recognize that circumstances can change. It also depends on the caregiver. I've had a couple of times when the caregiver has unexpectedly had to change due to circumstances on their end or the agency's end.

They make my loved one comfortable and take care of them by giving them drinks and medicine. They also talk to her which she really appreciates too.
We have already recommended people to this agency as the caregivers they provided we really like since they do great at ensuring all our needs are met.

What has helped the most is that they have entertained my mother so that I don't have to. In terms of improvement, they are hard to reach and understaffed, so it is difficult to have regular communication.
I like the quality of the people they provide (for the most part). I would tell a friend that they have good caretakers, and they are a good agency to work with.

The caregiver who comes here is very friendly and is willing to do almost anything that I have for her to do, which isn't a lot, but occasionally she will help to clean my shower. It wasn't a hard job, but I cannot do it and she took care of that.
My experience has been good with Morning Glory. The caregiver who comes here is really good. We have good conversations together and she fixes my breakfast and is very nice.

Nothing that I know of for them to improve right now. They are here when we need them to be here and that is helpful.
I needed help for all seven days of the week and this agency at first wasn't filling my needs, but now it's all going well. The availability of help isn't there, they could hire more people.

The provider has helped us by someone being there to talk to and help with the less than exciting work that needs to be done that he does not want to do.
I like that they contact me most of the time and let me know what is going on. Ken likes the people who have been assigned to assist. They do the work satisfactorily.

My grandma wouldn't allow them to do things, but there were there just really to watch over her and give some companionship.
We didn't get the chance to use them that much, so I don't feel comfortable recommending them to everyone. I do think they did a good job.

They aren't available, they cancel too late in advance.
When they can't fill a position I have to come in and do a long shift.

Being able to respond faster would have been nice though part of that was just due to circumstances. It would have been nice if they could have expedited the process though.
Sadly the circumstances were not as good. The lady who came and did the initial meeting was not able to contact us immediately as she was off work. When she got back though she was prompt, caring, and thorough in making sure everything was taken care of and all needs were met.

It was nothing on their end it was just us letting go and leaving them to them.
The ladies that came to the house actually spent the night and I felt comfortable leaving them with my dad. They seemed very compassionate. I think they did a really good job with him.

If the caregiver couldn't make it, then the manager of the company showed up. We don't use them every day anymore. We just use them a couple of times to take my dad out from the nursing home.
I have already recommended them. We used them for my parents when they both lived at home.

Mom is still getting used to the care and having someone in her house. My mother is used to doing things on her own. There are some things I wish they would do, but my mom says she can do it on her own. I would like for the caregiver to prep a meal for her before she leaves. She waits for my mom to ask her to do things rather than seeing what needs to be done around the house.
They were really quick in calling, and if I had a question, they would answer it right away. There is always room for improvement, and nothing is perfect, but they are doing well.

They do things for my husband that I otherwise would have to do after working a full-time job. It takes a load off of me. They do a little work in the kitchen and dust. It makes life much easier.
They do a very good job of matching the caregiver to my loved one. They pay attention to detail.

They have taken mom grocery shopping or walking through Walmart. They talk with her.
They have been good to mom, but they went through some behind the scenes changes in management or changed the rules, and a lot of them vented to mom. For someone like my mom who has limited interaction, she stews because they took things away. I would like for them to be more careful about what they talk about.

It impacted me more than it impacted him because he wasn't aware of the services. It gave me a chance to get some rest because I was not getting any rest.
They were wonderful because they responded with what we needed. The caregivers that came were very high quality, and we had someone that was spending the night. My husband needed to be watched and taken to the bathroom if needed. I felt like they had people that were qualified and pleasant.

The caregiver will check on my sister a lot. You know if she doesn't like you, and there was only one she didn't like. I am the only one, and I am the one that comes over every so often to visit. She has really done better.
I like each one of the caregivers, and they are kind and courteous. A lot of times, I go over and will spend the evening with them and my loved one. We have others in the day that work there for my sister. I haven't heard a bad thing yet.

They would blame me for things I didn't do and not listen to my side of the story.
One of the caregivers treated me like I was in a nursing home and I was paying them for me to not feel like that. They are all very lazy they want to get paid for watching TV and doing their homework from school.
