About This Community

Hello. As a daughter who resided in a different state from my parents, I recognized the need for good quality non-medical assistance and had a difficult time finding a trustworthy caregiver to help my parents when I could not be there.

My name is Victoria Huff-O'Bryan. And, we, at Home Helpers, are in the business of care giving. Our services enable our clients to live healthier, happier and more rewarding lives in the comfort of their own surroundings. The clients we serve are all different ages. We can extend a helpful hand to seniors, new moms, people recuperating from surgery as well as those requiring more continuous care for autism or Alzheimer's. All of our caregivers are thoroughly screened, bonded and insured, and can provide companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping and so much more. These services may be provided for an hour or all day. . . A few days a week or every day. Besides come and go, we also offer 24 hour live-in care. And, our team is available to you 24 hours a day.

After gaining 20 years of work experience in the technology and pharmaceutical sales arenas, I am very excited to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve. Besides my parents, I have gained insight and inspiration from the internationally acclaimed author, Linda Ellis. And, I truly believe that it is up to each and every one of us to help each other live our "dash time" to the fullest.

Besides being passionate about serving our clients, we are also dedicated to contributing to our community. Home Helpers is a respected member of the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce. We also participate in Will and Du Page County Senior Events and work as volunteers for community events. You and your loved ones will receive excellent care and companionship with Home Helpers. We believe in caring for clients as if they were members of our own family. Our caregivers are carefully chosen to meet the needs of our clients. And, every caregiver receives client specific training.

It should not be a surprise that home care is more cost effective than institutional alternatives. In fact, in 2004, the National Governors Association found the best solution to long term care was the expansion of our nation's home care services.

Our goal at Home Helpers is to make life easier for you and your family by exceeding your expectations. Every aspect of our lives should not be endured, but rather enjoyed. . .Let us help you do that by calling us today! It will be our overwhelming opportunity to assist you.

I looked them up online as I was looking for help for mom. Victoria in particular earned our trust. She's very kind, caring, considerate and thoughtful and she wants us to be happy. I think they can improve on matching their service with as to what they say it is. I trust Victoria, and we're pleased that they're there. We got another caregiver now who seems to be doing better.

A family member found Home Helpers through a church that she's attending. They were very good and very pleasant. The way that they care for my dad at home was very good and professional. The physical therapist was the same quality. Everything I asked for, they had provided. I'm very happy with them and I'm gonna use them again in December.

I found Home Helpers from my support group and from a friend of mine. It's been awesome having them. Home Helpers have accommodated my situation with my husband in terms of making him comfortable on the process of having somebody in the house to help him. They have provided good people. They help my husband to be as independent as possible but also to take care of things that need to be take care of. They have done an excellent job of taking care of him and taking care of my needs in terms of laundry, dinner and cleaning of the house too. They pretty much accommodated everything we needed. Victoria was always there from ground zero and up. She took care of everything and made sure that the whole process went well. She handles the transitioning so there's somebody in the house. She was personally involved in about everything. We're going into our second year with them.

I work at the hospital and I got agencies names from the list that we had and that's where I found Home Helpers. They're very cooperative. They're just good. I have not had any problems at all. I really like the caregiver that we have right now. I am happy having them around. I never had any problems with schedule nor billing at all.

Victoria was recommended to me from my health club and I knew her so that's why we got their service. The gentleman she sent over turned out to be a nice man and did well with my husband. He helped my husband with a lot of things. He also talked to him and accompanied him. We had them for about 3 years.

My sister knew of Victoria and she talked to her about their services. I've been very happy with the quality of the caregiving that we received. My mom has Alzheimer's. She has wonderful caregivers and so we're very satisfied. They do craft, play games and do exercises with her.
