About This Community
Your family won't get lost in the shuffle with us. Some agencies simply react to calls from clients rather than anticipating your needs in advance. We begin by reviewing your needs through discussions with family members and when necessary, with healthcare providers. Our service coordinator carefully selects the caregiver to recommend to you based on matching the necessary experience and personality that is suited to the needs of each client. We then arrange for the caregiver to visit your home so that you can participate in the selection process.
Next, working in conjunction with the family, we develop an individualized program to manage your daily needs. After services begin, we implement our system of ongoing personalized contacts with your family to insure that the care recipient is receiving the best possible care (through telephone check-ins and home visits). Most importantly, we continually communicate with the caregiver who is providing care to you.

They don't train their people. They have ADL's and none of the caregivers have done their ADL's except for the caregiver I have now and another in the past. They come in with an attitude and do whatever they want to.
They need to improve their caregivers.

It was excellent. She had multiple cases of cabin-fever and I live 8 hours away so it was impossible for me to go.
They could keep a better eye and track their caregivers a bit better, to make sure they're there with the patients.

We have just had very good success. This is the second lady that we have had and she has been a blessing to us. I do not know about the rest of them, but if they are all like her it is great. We are just pleased with the person that we have. They have provided us with a person.

The lady that worked was never late, we never had an issue with her, and she went above and beyond.

Every time they sent someone I had to show them what to do.
I asked for the same person but they said because I didn't have enough hours so, they couldn't fulfill my requests.

Some of them transfer her from the bed to the wheelchair and to the toilet.
They do good work. The one who comes in Monday-Friday is kinda lazy but she does help give her bed baths. The one who has been in the last two Wednesdays is very good.

They take care of things like doctor visits, and getting meds when needed. They keep them on a medication schedule.

When they come, the things that they do are done. They don't say that they can't do it, they just do it. They know my routine, they do laundry, do the trash. I always have everything ready for them to do.

The service helps my in-laws. They help with personal care.

The services freed up some time for us as family members to do the things we need to get done without worrying about my mom.
I would recommend Visiting Angels because they understood that we just wanted one consistent caregiver. It did take a while to get the right caregiver though.

I know my friend receiving care has complained that Visiting Angels was not super dependable with scheduling caregivers. I would like the caregivers to encourage my loved one to make healthier eating choices as well.
I would just say that the workers should be more cautious if they are not feeling well. One of the caregivers came in sick, and my friend got severely sick and was very upset.

They stand by when he goes the restroom. They make sure he doesn't walk.
They are always punctual. They are knowledgeable about what they need to do. I have a high expectations. I am a CNA too. They are doing a very great job.

There were some who were great at what they did and others who couldn't care less. It got to the point where I had to ask them to do things. They weren't assisting mom, weren't helping her bathe, or helping her change her clothes. Others were really great at doing those things.
The service provided by the individual caregivers was not always consistently even. They didn't have the same quality of care from one to the next. With some all they wanted to do was sit on their phones, but others would help my dad with dinner.

I liked the personalization of the service. I like the professionalism of the caregivers that were provided. Everyone seemed interested beyond it just being their job.

My sister needed a lot of care and they did that for her. If my main person had not been as thorough and so outstanding with everything that she did, I don't think that my sister would have lasted as long.

It gives me peace of mind. My siblings are farther away and it gives them peace of mind as well. My mom is very happy.
My main concern was my mom, she did not want to live with me or go into any senior home so Visiting Angels was the best thing. We started Monday, Wednesday, Friday, but she just has a caregiver, who she loves, on Mondays.

I really needed them. I needed help with bathing and getting food and they were very good. I was getting around with a walker and now I walk by myself.

When I needed personalized care they provided it. Bathing and dressing is all I need help with. The gentleman came out two days ago to pre-screen me. The lady came today to bathe me. The guy who runs Visiting Angels came.

I'd suggest they pair smaller caregivers with smaller clients. The caregivers need to be physically capable of helping their clients when they fall.

I think they do what they can, but he just does not like them there all the time since he has Alzheimer's. They do help make him him breakfast and make sure he has gotten his medication.
Sometimes the scheduling is a little late because they have to change people if things come up. They are a little slow about getting someone to fill in the spot. We understand though.

They were very helpful. I was relieved to find help. They were recommended by the hospital when we got out because I didn't know what I was going to do. My husband is partially blind, so they need to know how to work the TV. I like them and they are very friendly.
I would recommend them to others. They were very nice and seemed to want to help.

She helps her take a bath, does her hair, helps her get up and down, and to go to the bathroom.
I don't know if it's them or my parents, but the lady that comes is there for four hours. If she is not helping my mom do something, she should be mopping or cleaning. I don't think she should sit and be on Facebook or have a lunch break, which is what I've seen.

I only have one of the caregivers that is thorough when they come in. Everyone else just sits there.

It was huge that week that we had them. They sat with her overnight so that she would have a companion when she got up.
