I recently had major surgery on my foot and will be in a cast for 6 week, a boot for another 6 weeks and Physical Therapy for a few more months. I met with a representative of Visiting Angels to obtain her opinion on the type of services they provide and what would be recommended for me due to my limited mobility. I thought I should try one day and see if their services would be beneficial. The representative stated it would be better to try three days to obtain a better idea of the services and the people they would be providing. I also was informed that I could cancel at any time. Well, I should have read some past reviews because I agree that their service is better suited for someone that just needs a companion or someone to be there and sit around versus providing any services. All the lady did was sit on the sofa and look at her phone. Any request I made was if I was bothering her. I felt she did not want to be there except for getting paid. Her only excitement came when I signed her time report. I immediately called the office to cancel any future appointments and was informed I need to call three days in advance to cancel these appointments. I stated I was informed that I could cancel anytime. First of all, I guess the representative meant to add the three day advance notice but failed to mention it. Secondly, I did call within the three day for the last appointment but they still charged my account. I will be contacting the Attorney General's office to have them look into their misleading practices. Unless you are dying, unable to move from your bed or just need a buddy I would suggest you find someone else. Good people should stay away from such a greedy company, especially if you value your loved ones.

Visiting Angels has cared for two of my family members in different states. What a blessing this organization is. My family members have been treated with kindness, concern and thorough homecare assistance regardless of what state we were in at the time. I loved G.G. she was an awesome caregiver for my mom. It is good to know that my mom had such great service during the end stages of her life. Keep up the good work Visiting Angels, your name says it all.

Visiting Angels has been caring for my aunt for 4 years now. We love our caregiver who has become a part of our family. From the office staff to the caregivers, you are all winners. We love your services and thank you for your unwavering love and devotion to our family member.

Caregivers did not show up on time and talked on the phone most of the time. Many would immediately leave. They are very inattentive. Many times staff cannot be sent out. I am young and recovering from a serious illness. This service is property better for those who are dying. Caregivers are more like babysitters or companions. This is probably okay as a short term solution, but not long term.

We had Visiting Angels. We fired them after three shifts because they didn’t show up. The first shift, the girl showed up and did an OK job. The second shift, they called us and said that the nurse had car problems and was not going to be able to make it. They did send somebody, but they came three hours late and slept on the couch the entire night. The third shift, they just never showed. Nobody called. We called them, but we got a voicemail. Nobody showed up, and that was it. They called us the next day and said they were sorry, but we said, :It’s been not nice doing business with you, but we’ll find somebody else." They’re not reliable. Also, evidently, when the first shift girl got there, my father-in-law was completely soiled. The hospice nurse asked her when was the last time that she had changed him, and she said she hadn’t.

After a long fight with ovarian cancer, our mother bacame frail and we were in need of care for her. Visiting Angels became that care for her. At first, it was only for a couple of hours a day but then, as we got closer to the end, 24 hour care was needed. I have no words to express the level of care and concern my family received from Visiting Angels. The caregivers who were sent, were professional and skilled but even more important, they were caring, loving and gentle. We do not know what we would have done without Visiting Angels who were there till the end. I can think of no better name for an organization, as they were truly our "Visiting Angels"
