At Comfort Keepers we help seniors live with dignity within the comfort of their own homes. Comfort Keepers is dedicated to providing in-home care that enriches lives and helps maintain the highest possible level of independent living.
We are locally owned & operated by a registered nurse who is a retired Navy Commander with extensive education in geriatric care and experience in Jacksonville's local healthcare market. We serve Duval & Saint John's Counties in northeast Florida, including the beaches communities.
Our variety of services is tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Loving and compassionate caregivers provide companionship, meal preparation, transportation, shopping, med reminders, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, respite care & much more. We know the challenges of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's Disease and dementia. Our home health aides have training to take of care your loved one with this disease.
Our caregivers are employees and not independent contractors. This is a critical consideration for you in selecting the best home care option. Our caregivers are carefully selected and must pass a highly comprehensive background screening before they are bonded and covered by general, professional liability and workman compensation insurances. They are trained and supervised by registered nurses.

Comfort Keepers were a salvation for our mom. Unfortunately, her health had been on a downward spiral all of 2019. In the hospital, then out, and then back again. We were able to get mom rehab to strengthen her and get her walking again so that she was finally able to return home. She was home for a few weeks and that is just where she wanted to be! I called Kathy Murphy at Comfort Keepers for her assistance. She was able to arrange a home health aide right away. She was fabulous. I only wish mom would have been able to enjoy Shelly for a longer time.
Shelly provided my mom excellent companionship, assistance with personal hygiene, and so much more.

The caregiver was there with her, so I didn't have to be with her during the day and could go run my business.
After we got the second person, they worked out great. She had a positive attitude and was willing to work with her.

They are able to make my mothers life easier by bringing her cheer, they bring conversation, they care physically and emotionally.
They are accommodating and they keep in touch. They make sure the caregivers can bond with my mother.

She does everything that needs to be done, and what I tell her to do.
The bookkeeping is atrocious. I got a bill for the current month and paid it online, and the very next day I got a bill for the previous month. The agency makes the caregivers work too many jobs and don't give them time off.

The lady we have is excellent.
I wouldn't know who to send out. I had a young lady in here yesterday Monday and Wednesday to replace my regular caregiver. I was not pleased with her. She had an attitude, and she let me know she was a medical tech. I told her I don't know what that is, and she said she's not used to housework. They more or less pushed this woman on us because the regular is on vacation. I had to tell someone to cancel the days that the caregiver was gone, but they insisted. They sent her out, and I was not pleased with her one bit.

They helped him with showering, dressing, and just assistance in everyday needs, like using the walker and getting around from place to place.
They need to have more consistency of the people. There needed be less turnover with caregivers.

My wife has dementia, and the health care worker comes in twice a week and is able to help her. They're more effective with her than I am sometimes. I'm very impressed with them.
They're very responsive, and the individuals are extremely professional.

I've been more than satisfied. They keep me company. It depends on the caregiver who comes. I've had some that weren't satisfactory. They pretty well cover everything. They do things that I can't do.

They are always punctual and very able to do whatever I ask them to do. I go to the naval hospital and the first caregiver had a plaque that let her on the base right and I wish all the caregivers had that.

Comfort Keepers is very efficient and very well trained. Comfort Keepers is just wonderful. I was going to go out and go shopping while my caregiver was here and she said I had to stay there while she was there so she could keep an eye on me.

They could have fixed their scheduling and send the same caregivers as often as possible. I would like them to send people that have been here before. They should have been more compassionate with the client.

There have been very caring women that have come. We've had no problems. I don't think I could survive without them. I couldn't do it all without them. They've been very supportive and they take good care of my husband and do what's needed.

I like the care that Comfort Keepers provides and the availability of the providers. I'm satisfied the care Comfort Keepers provides my dad. Comfort Keepers provides the physical care that my dad needs and this makes it easier for me and my dad.

Comfort Keepers was hard to reach on weekends. Comfort Keepers had no impact on our lives. I would like to have someone that is more familiar with conversations with the individual. Be more uplifting and caring.

Comfort Keepers is quick to respond and can send someone out right away. They will work with when you are trying to get a caregiver for a loved one, and they are easy to communicate with. My mother can't get out without Comfort Keepers because she doesn't drive. They provide a lot of socialization for her, which has been great.

I would recommend Comfort Keepers because in this particular situation it was very last minute and they were very flexible to in terms of getting someone to work with me on short notice. The service fulfilled the purpose. My mom's caregiver was extremely pleasant and proactive in doing what she needed to do. We had no issues.

Comfort Keepers gave us three different caregivers at different times and they were all fantastic. One in particular was great. They were loving, caring, and did whatever my husband needed. The services helped me be able to go run errands and keep doctor appointments.

My caregiver was not satisfactory and I did not like that we had so many different caregivers. There was never a caregiver that had the time to get to know my loved one. My loved one would have liked to have a regular caregiver that they could connect with.

Comfort Keepers is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I would not have gotten through things without their services. Comfort Keepers does things around the house that I cannot do. They will make my bed and do laundry, and they will help me with my shower.

Comfort Keepers makes sure that I have someone available to come and assist. If no one is available, they make sure to get a back up. I had surgery back-to-back, and with Willie's situation, Comfort Keepers are a blessing.

I would most certainly use Comfort Keepers again in the future. I think they are wonderful and very professional. I was so fortunate to have them. The services were a source of support for me as my husband went through a difficult condition. I really could not take care of my husband myself. I had a lot of relief knowing that a caregiver from Comfort Keepers would be here with me.

Comfort Keepers is a very conscientious company and the caregivers show up when they are supposed to. My only complaint would be that the caregivers could only do a minimum of 4 hours for visits, but I didn't always need them for as long as they were staying.

I wouldn't recommend Comfort Keepers because my caregiver doesn't do a lot of what I would like to have done. I do appreciate whatever she does, but it could be done much better. The services have an average impact on my daily life. Comfort Keepers could make my life easier by doing the things that I would like to have done.

Comfort Keepers' nurses are both very nice, attentive, and they feel like family members. We need the services because my grandmother has dementia, so it is nice knowing that she isn't home alone.

Each of the caregivers of Comfort Keepers seems to be very good and appropriate for the needs that my mom has. One major advantage to the agency is that if one of the caregivers is ill or on vacation, they always come through with a replacement so that you are never without service, and that has been very helpful. They are very familiar with the needs of an aging population. The match that they make for the client and the caregivers and that they make an effort to find the match that works is what I like most about them. I would certainly recommend them as an agency with high standards. We have been very pleased.
